OOOH, I misread, that fucking sucks! I did find this that may or may not help (most likely not).
I was asking if MS will fix RROD more than once. I was under the impression that they will only replace your console once, and 2nd time is no go (b/c Melf want to induce RROD). I think I was wrong tho.
They'll replace it for free as many times as it RRODs you. Anything else comes out of your pocket.
I played some more R6V2, and this time the color worked. I finished up all the terrorist hunts on Realistic and played through some story mode on that level too. I'm going to see if my 360 will be good to me and let me play some more online tonight.
What do you guys think about a community system (for the trusted members)? We pass it to whoever has a system go down on them.
The new systems don't have the widespread problem (I know Melf's says Sep 07 but a lot of those are refurbs with a new sticker).
But how long are they going to keep doing that? If it randomly RROD's on June 10, 2011, you're just shit outta luck, I'd think.
I don't think I'd pay $400 for an appliance that had the failure rate, much less a toy. Which is a shame, because there's a ton of good shit to be had on the 360.
Is the reliability getting any better?
Yes. If you're in refurb swap land, then probably not, unless they do something different. But getting a fresh system will be fine.
I hope so. I'd REALLY LIKE to get a 360 in the next two months, but I don't like the 1/5 chance of it kicking me in the dick every time I get a new piece of software.
If those odds are closer to 1/20, I'll take it.
