Ok, dumb question time!
I'm thinking about finally moving past the 20gig HD and picking up a 120gig that comes out really cheap used at GS with trade-in. They no longer have the transfer cable, and I'm wondering if I can just transfer everything over using a USB drive. I've got around 13 gigs of content on my 20gig HD, so it would take two transfers (I have a memory unit where I'll put my profiles).
Can it be done this way, or do I absolutely need a transfer cable? I know it may seem like a dumb question, but I've had the same HD since launch, so I've never done this before.
Speaking of bullshit that isn't offered, am I insane or is there no way to use themes anymore after the last update?

I'm 99% sure you need the transfer cable. Typical Microsoft monopoly-inducing hardware design.
My HoD theme still works. I haven't tried to change themes since the second awful update though. WTB original dashboard from 2006.Quote:

No you can definitely just drop your files onto the USB stick, swap in the new hard drive and move them over.
