Yeah I'm surprised you didn't switch to the slim, I haven't many issues with it so far.

Because the best way to combat shitty hardware is to give the company an additional sale
That's also the best way to show them your disapproval of region locking I've heard.

I'm not sure how many times he replaced his system but I wouldn't blame him for not buying another one.
For me I had a lot of 360 games already and I had a good amount invested into the eco-system so while it sucked that it happened I was still able to sell my old model and purchased the newer version with a lower failure rate. He can probably get a good deal on the slim on ebay or other places online for less than $200, plus the system is bound to lower even more as the months go by and the PS4/One sales continue.
I haven't bought anything on live since the switch to real money.
Now that tax is added, I'm going to need to buy a $10 card to buy the $5 game I want to cover the tax, correct?
I guess it depends on your state but yeah I think buying a $10 isn't a bad idea just to be on the safe side.
Yeah the only reason I kept buying more 360s is because I had such a huge library of games already.
At this point, though, there's not much left on the system that I still want to play on a daily basis besides NHL 14. And once September rolls around, that game will be outdated, anyway.
Huh. I bought one, sold it, bought another when there was a game I wanted to play, sold that.
So lame. They need to start selling $5.40 cards.
