There's the pink/grey dots faceplace that they have in Japan, but when I saw it in person I wasn't totally in love with it. (Mostly because I can't get into faceplates as the graphics just suddenly end without and nice blend into the pure white of the rest of the console.)
Edit: There's also this, but it's just a skin, which is a shame as it actually doesn't look too bad.

I know that if I were to take my hard drive to a friends house, I'd have to sign into Live in order to play XBLA games, but if I were to buy the 120 gig hd and use the cable to transfer all my shit from my old drive, would I be able to play the game offline, or is it the same deal, where you have to be signed in?
I believe you should be able to play offline since it's the same console. If some games were purchased using your gamertag on a different console however, you'd have to be logged in to play those. You can use the license transfer tool on xbox.com to transfer all the licenses pertaining to that gamertag to that one 360, though. Sad part is that MS limits it to once a year.
It finally happened, after 14 months of solid playtime. My 360 Elite has the dreaded RROD and it started with the disc drive having problems reading the game discs.
I was playing about 2 hours tonight, when I heard a popping sound and the screen went black. I look down at my 360 and I see the dreaded RROD. :(
It looks like I'll have a good solid month of playtime with the PS3. Maybe I'll finally give in and buy MGS4, since I won't have my 360 anytime soon.:curse:

I have an Elite that was somewhere in the grey area, when it comes to wether it is a Falcon or not. I've read that the early model Falcon boards still used the 203w power supply. The 360 never felt hot to the touch and the air coming out was much cooler than what my PS3 blows out. So, I'd be rather surprised if it was the X-Clamp that went.
My 1st 360 worked like a champ for about a year then it died, and I threw it away. Then I bought one from Bahn and it worked like a champ for about 8 months then it died, but then I dropped it on the floor on accident and it still worked for about another month with no issues, then it died for good. I threw it away. So then I bought a new 360 and i've had it for about 3 months and so far so good.

It's decent. Not great, not awful.. just decent. If you need a Gradius fix on your 360, it's the only option (oh, the lulz) at the moment. I would suggest starting off playing in Gorgeous mode, since it's the more traditional game (6 stages, multiple loops.. and it has instant respawn, no continue points). Leave the original mode for after you've played out Gorgeous Mode since it breaks down to choosing 3 levels, their respective difficulties and then seeing how well you can do with only 2 lives (you start out with a full shield but the hitbox is retarded large).Quote:

I think I made about $30 to $40 selling the transfer cable that came with my 120gig HDD and then another $20 or $30 from selling the 20gig HDD. That was a year and a half ago, though, so I have no clue if they're still bringing those kind of prices now.
Looks like MS might have wised up as well about the cable. I checked out their order form for the transfer cable and it looks like they are now requiring the serial number from an old 360 and the serial number from an Elite; Don't remember them doing that before.

The content can only be accessed offline on whichever system was used to download it, regardless of the hard drive used.
