ah...they took the points away. LOL I did buy Ms. 'Splosion Man and the Strania DLC and now my points are back to where they were originally.
Do it as much as you can. Fuck, you could turn that 10 into millions of space bucks if you grind at it for a while. Unplug the ethernet cable once it stops putting out, and you'd have a pretty good XBLA library.
Can someone recommend some good golf and tennis games?
I'm a huge fan of the first two Virtua Tennis games and Camelot's golf games.
Do they have to be on 360? Otherwise, I would say Hot Shots Golf. For Tennis, Top Spin and Virtua Tennis 4 would be the obvious choices.
All I currently have is 360 and PC, and my PC isn't very powerful.
Virtua Tennis 3 is the only one in the series that got decent scores, if that counts for anything.
I'm pretty sure my buddy has a sealed copy of it for $10 at his shop, so I'll probably give that one a shot.
Top Spin always gets good reviews, but I think it might not be arcade-y enough for me.
There doesn't seem to be anything comparable to Hot Shots or Mario Golf on 360, although I don't mind a bit more realism with the golfs.
Is there any particular Tiger Woods game that stands out?
I'm not much help there. It's the Move support that interests me in the more realistic golf and tennis games, so I haven't paid any attention to the 360.
Camelot should make tennis games for every platform, really. I've wondered about Virtua Tennis 3 and 4 myself since the DC games were so awesome, but I haven't gotten around to picking up the newer titles.
As far as I'm concerned there was only one golf game ever made: Neo Turf Masters. Sadly, not available on 360.
All the VTs play exactly the same. If you like the old DC title, you will like these.
I thought I read that in the wake of Top Spin's popularity, Virtua tried to get more realistic and lost something in the transition.
Aren't there demo's of all these games? Apparently none of us have tried them. So you should, and report back!
I tried the demo for the latest, feels exactly the same as before, maybe a little slower? I also played about 30 minutes for the 2009 version, same thing. Most of the differences are the mini-games and maybe the pro tour. Just get any of them if you are curious, the old games are dirt cheap anyway.Quote:

So I was in the dashboard beta that got you a copy of reach earlier in the year. Turns out that silver disc is worthless since it can't apply the latest title update to the game, so MS sent everybody in the beta a Games on Demand code for Reach.

Playing Gears at K3V's made me realize I need a better headset than the crappy wired one. I suck really really bad at the game, I admit it. But I think part of it was everyone could sneak up behind me since I had no sound.
So out of all the ones available, what's the best headset to get for less than $150.
The normal wireless MS one is fine.

I finally got a new 360 after a few months, and because I'm dumb I payed the $60 to get Live again, and I have nothing I want to play on the system. I don't even have an excuse to use Live.
Other than Gears 3 what is coming out soon or might I have overlooked from the last year that isn't better played on PS3 or PC?
