depends on what you use it for. the games don't install like on the PS3 and the limit for XBLA games is now 350meg i believe. if you're a digital packrat it won't last long but for normal use it's fine.
If you get a new Xbox 360 it'll have HDMI. The 120 GB hard drive isn't really necessary.
If you would like to keep a collection of trailers and demos of upcoming games, as well as your music, you want the 120 GB. If all you want to hold onto is DLC and arcade games, the 20 GB will do.
The Pro has the HDMI port now, btw.
You can either spend an extra $100 now, or possibly spend an extra $180 later (retail prices).

So my 360 has been slowly eating away at my copy of GTA4, and today when I tried to power it up it gave me a disk unreadable error. There are some nice scratches on the back too. I'm guessing this is the beginning of the end.

Has anyone had any success replacing the DVD drive in the 360 on their own? My brother just bought a used one that comes up with the "Please insert this game into a 360" error, and that tells me the laser is fucked. And since the system was used he doesn't have a receipt.

My original Elite just got the RROD on me tonight. Luckily it was still under warranty at BB, so I was able to get a a new one with the Falcon chipset. Didn't get a new plane though. Just gonna go through MS if this one dies on me.
They should be able to transfer the same plan over to the new one, they did it on mine.
You got lucky. Thats not suppose to happen at all. Plan is for the specific unit you purchased and is good for only one time, as far as replacements go. But I got an extra free controller and extra hdmi and component cables as well as a headset to sell so after all that it makes the plan i had for the previous system only end up costing like $10-$15.Quote:

I think they are actually transferring liscenses over now if you have to ship a 360 (which is getting rare now, at least with people with newer machines).
