good chance O won't have to raise taxes as much when he gets us out of this war then
None of that says that he's making the Bush cuts permanent. He's playing the same bullshit game that Calliander is. Letting an X% cut expire and then cutting the new number by X-Y% is not a cut, if Y is less than X.
john mccain is saying he's going to lower taxes MORE yet not make the debt larger
by "cutting spending"
you can pick at the details of obama's plan all you want
but it's still a plan and not a complete fairytale
but since
it really doesn't matter what anyone says, does it?
We'll obviously have to see how it plays out, but it's essentially the X and Y scenario I just described. If the Bush tax cut is X% for your bracket, and it is allowed to expire, then any new cut of Y%, where Y < X is not a net cut from today. And if Y is not going to be less than X, then why let X expire in the first place?
I'm using variables so I don't have to type it for every bracket, slugger. And I'm not the one using wishy washy words. It's Obama's plan that is making this muddy intentionally, not me. If he spelled out what he planned to do to the Bush cuts, then I wouldn't have to say "if". And we both know that he would call it out if he thought people would like his plan.
Let me know if your degree is in liberal arts, so I can draw some pictures.
you're still nitpicking the obama plan while ignoring that the mccain plan is a complete fantasy
but the right always goes for the big lie i guess
There's always a big lie there to go after.
edit: And considering this middle class tax "cut" is the cornerstone of his "plan", big isn't even an adequate word.
