Any bets on Biden doing one-term as VP if Obama gets re-elected?
Something would have to happen to cause that I think. Salt water gaffey.

Yeah, it's far too early to know. It's incredibly rare for a two-term president's party to hold the White House for a third term, so if Obama gets two terms we're probably looking at 2020 at the earliest for his successor. It's probably some kid we've never heard of in a state legislature.
Perhaps it will be JOHN CONNER OF CALIFORNIA
Well, I for one had no idea he was 66 already. He seems to have the energy and wits of someone in his 50s. So I think he would stick around.
I fully expect Biden to be kicked out of the administration before 2012. The campaign trail is one thing; the media's going to be less forgiving (one would hope) of a VP talking about "clean" black people.
So does McCain (war injuries notwithstanding). He campaigned in seven states the day before the election. Everyone still thinks he's about to die.
He'll sit in a closet somewhere like most VPs. I doubt we ever hear about him.
You know, the pundits are throwing McCain under the bus now, but the guy won the primaries by a STAGGERING landslide. It wasn't even close. Clearly republicans are starting to distance themselves from the likes of Sarah Palin, and this is starting to look like a real culture war within the party.
I think, ultimately, fiscal conservatives have a better chance of winning the long battle by courting young voters and moderates. Social conservatives can't really win any cross over without the others.
