Quite honestly, though, the best burger I've ever had was a Whataburger in Texas in 2003. I had another one recently and it wasn't as good.

We are talking about fast food here. Qdoba's the only place I know that really makes everything fresh, fries their own hard shells and chips, and has habenera salsa. Thus, they win.

I've never been even remotely satisfied with any burrito I've gotten at Qdoba or Baja Fresh. They are both terrible. And I've been to both multiple times, trying to like it.
Chiptole was almost acceptable the one time I went there. Luckily I can ride 5 minutes to an authentic place any time I want but that doesn't go for most of you poor saps.
Maybe it varies from location to location.
New Brunswick is an overwhelmingly Mexican city (outside of the Rutgers campus), and there are authentic places all over, but Qdoba is fast and cheap, and actually steals a good bit of patronage from the real places.
