Even though he's completely wrong, squall indirectly raises an important point. Palin might be a dangerously underqualified person with no place on the national political scene, and worthy of the attacks being leveled at her, but a lot of people will absolutely love and universally apologize for anyone that can attract this much ire from liberals. Enemy of my enemy kind of thing.
For the last time, from somebody who is in that industry, that's how it occasionally works.
And, like I said, it's not perfect. But without it, you wouldn't have Watergate. Besides which, considering everything you know about Palin, it doesn't sound unreasonable.
LIBRUL MEDIA!
Hay guys. There was some chick i was talking to and she didn't know something i thought EEEEHVREEWUN knew, but she didn't. It was ridiculous, absurd. I kept talking about her for weeks after i met her because of the absurdity.
I'm talking about the extraneous stuff. We can wring our hands all we want over Palin's religion, but don't you dare mention Rev. Wright, or Obama's father's religion. We can bellow all day long about what Palin may or may not have had to do with the Alaska Independence Party, but you're totally out of line if you want to know what Obama may or may not have had to do with William Ayers. We absolutely should be outraged (OUTRAGED!) that Palin saw fit to have a state trooper (with a fondness for tasering minors) terminated, but feel free to dismiss any concerns you have over Obama's associations with Tony Rezko.

I don't know if it's funny or sad that you liberals have traded your sense of societal fairness for one of political convenience. A little bit of both, I suppose. When the proud Democrats of TNL (and elsewhere) make comments like "So what if Obama were a Muslim? What should that matter?" in one breath, and then proceed to berate Chrisitans and all they hold sacred in the next, it really makes me wonder if they even understand what "liberals" once purportedly stood for.
Yes, there is a double standard. But given the conduct of your ilk in this rather lengthy policital conversation, it's plainly evident that I could throw out examples until sunrise, but you wouldn't see it. You're venom and ignorance blind you. And I pity you for it.
A. Palin's religion matters as it matters in the way she would govern, she wants to ban abortion for example due to her religion. Who gives a fuck about Wright, mention him all you want, Obama has spoke out against the things he's said, so obviously it's not something that really matters though. As for Obama's father's religion, WTF does that matter at all? The man had next to nothing to do with his father, so why would his father's religion matter.
B. Both of those affairs were blown out of proportion.
C. One of the two show a strong possibility of abuse of office, which is it?
You try way too fucking hard, and it's getting fucking annoying. Would you like to spend some time defending Bush and Cheney next?
