They're born from observing behavior from the outside, at arm's reach, on TV, etc, rather than real world experience. Real world experience is not generally oversimplified into stereotypes. Or at least it less often is.Quote:

I've seen those same tests indicate black women are "more intelligent" than black men, but that white men are "more intelligent" than white women. I'm sure you can see that these tests are not a particularly meaningful measure of intelligence and heavily influenced by social factors.
I have not observed intelligence to be characteristic of race at all. I've known a lot of intelligent people who aren't educated or knowledgeable, and I've known scientists that were fucking stupid. It's true that black people are statistically less educated, but what does that mean?
