I tell them to suck my ass, then I get fired.
I'm betting you still have a job though.
I've never blown up at a boss. Only at a couple of shrinks.
I called a shrink a "pretentious cocksucker" and told him to "try not to suck any dicks on his way down the hall"
I was happy about that one.
Back at VGD I blew up at Travis and almost got fired multiple times. He was a great guy, but a bit hard to work for sometimes.
It depends. If the person is my friend then we have an argument and hash it out until we're both happy. If the person is not my friend and tries to talk down to me or insult me, then we have a problem. The severity of the problem dictates the severity of the solution.
I haven't worked an actual job since I quit my friend's dad's pawn shop in early 2000. Pretty much because I will not take any shit from anyone who should be honored that I'm doing their work for them.
Worth it?
I put up with plenty of crap from my employers and the customers I deal with, but I never say what I want to say. Not because I'm a pussy, but the way I see it, I'm getting paid $8 to watch TV all day, 40 hours a week. The employers are the suckers here, and I've got a decent gig going. It's worth putting up with shit now and then and acting like the polite pushover.
Then again, am I training myself to always be like that? Discuss.
How could it not be?
