One major thing they need to correct from the original is keyboard and mouse support. You could rig the original to do it with a PS2->PS3 adapter and a Total Control Frag, but that's entirely too much trouble.

Game sounds awesome but 60 players online? Thats just too many. You dont really feel like your worth anything to the team with that many people. Still looks great.
From what I've read, you're only in direct contact with your own squad. Each squad is given different objectives across the map. The idea is to have multiple conflict points throughout a map, with an average of about 6(?) people from each side in a given area at one time.
In other words, I don't think you're going to see very many 30 v 30 firefights. Sounds interesting.
I play "cartoon story games made for Japanese children"?
Wtf does that even mean -- that I like J-RPGs? Um, okay, and this makes Insomniac's output any less forgettable... how?
Resistance is a terrific game, I think it's the best non-PC FPS this gen, and 2 sounds like it's going to be even better. I've been tempted to rent R&C Future to get a peek at new Insomniac weapons that may inspire something to be seen in Resistance 2 but I haven't gotten around to it.
Sounds like a man whos never played any PC Battlefields. I dont get why 60 players sounds like such a new concept - especially on the GAF boards at the moment. What BF does, and im hearing Resistance 2 does, is break the team up into squads. The respawn system is totally changed as you all spawn on your squad leader - where ever he is on the map. You don't get individual credit - your entire squad does. Ever wonder why no one plays as a team in games like Halo? Well a squad system forces you to play as a team. Huge team battles are the best online FPSs IMO.
Yeah, 60 player multiplayer doesn't interest me very much. Though the 8 player co-op on the other hand seems really fucking awesome. The more the merrier as far as co-op goes, so long as the co-op campaign is designed around the idea that there will be 8 people playing at once.
The one thing I ask is for Insomniac to bump up the intensity as far as what happens in the campaign. There were no memorable experiences for me in the first game (besides maybe the last level), and while the gameplay mechanics and production value were solid, that really soured the experience for me.
Uh, what?Quote:
