That's a really cool concept, but did they address safety issues in that demo? Seems like it would be a bit less impact-resistant with that design, possibly. Would side airbags still work?
That is pretty sweet. I do wonder what would happen in a side impact accident, especially with the removal of the B pillars.
But screw that, I want one too.

This came up on a car board I frequent. Someone quickly realized it won't work on any car where the doors have a window frame. It definitely looks cool in action.
Man, that's awesome. Anything other than normal doors is awesome. Fuck boring doors.
I still want scissor doors on my family sedan, but I don't think I could justify the cost for something that'd be meant mostly to amuse/confuse my friends. :(
