Hey guys, I find it interesting that everyone treats this god or no god stuff as a theory. How can you explain his toenail being up in the sky, or the sounds of angels bowling? I don't think you can say that rain isn't real and then explain how it isn't god crying because you touched yourself. I just find it interesting that no one is asking about that.

There's a difference between intelligence and information. Some people in this thread (not you bbobb) have neither. But those old timers had the intelligence to gather more info at least.

But they had no reason to believe otherwise. A curve of that size, seems flat. And the sun did appear to travel around us.

But it does not appear that everything was made by a God. That is why we are even having this argument. Everyone here has heard some bible stuff, but they go out in the real world and for many it does not stand up.

I've been an athiest, and honestly, there just isn't a "made by God" tag on anything. There is nothing in our physical world to make you even begin to think some all powerful dude came up with it.

So really, why on earth did anyone guess that it was in the first place?

Dude, people back then were very,very easily influenced. Trust me I have studied history forever. So by your logic, stay with me cheeks, Zeus and company existed and then decided one day, aw fuck it, I'm leaving? Seriously man, there would have to have been some kind of PROOF in the 2000+ years these events have been taking place. Where is the spear? the cross he was hung on? If he was THAT important somebody would have saved that shit and had his exact mailing address.
