I wanted a non genre-dedicated place to talk about games, and literally googled "videogame forum." Kotaku was too gamefaqsy, insertcredit's was really small (though I still like to browse them), and NeoGAF was too big. TNL was just right! Plus I saw former SRKers Razor and Destin, which helped me accommodate.
TNL is the perfect porridge of game forums.
