my friend Timber always talks about stuff he read on here and other things that go on and I'm well fed up with the "myspace groups" thing, because they are filled with nothing but ignorant children and old people trying to look cool to a younger crowd.
so I joined up here and have been loving it since, everyone here (even if they are giving me shit for being a "noob" to the forum) seems pretty cool and knows what they are talking about and not just spewing nonsense out their asses.

A friend from another forum sent me the link, sort of. I wasn't going to join because I know diddly squat about games, but then I saw Artist Block and some other threads and I was hooked.
It was Tom Keller's dream that brought me to TNL.
Bahn showed me this site back in 2001. I've been here since.
I got banned from another forum and found this one through Nicks Myspace page and been happy ever since :)

Am I crazy, or did the Join Date have at one point an exact day, not just a month and year?
What happened on the day that a huge amount of people joined? Was it the crash of GameGo, or was it a TNL crash/reset? I vaguely remember that I had to sign up twice, but it could be wrong.
I remember signing up twice.
I was at shmups when ECM was spamming about his new mag & forum. Since I was an avid GF reader I signed up for GG, about a week after it launched. I took about a 6 month break between the GG board's demise & my registering here. I don't post much, but I have visited this site virtually every day for the last 5 years.
