I am man of many t-shirts. PLus I keep everything forever. So I was getting tired of the shirts I had in my dresser and had the brilliant idea of just putting away about 30 or so and exchanging them with oldies from the vault. I pulled out about 20 and have taken photos of the ones I find most interesting.

Here we have an Inkvision Tattoo shirt from about 1991, Gecko Ninja vs Sumo Roach I bought in Hawaii in 1988, Slayer Divine Intervention and a RUN DMC/Beastie Boys Together Forever tour shirt from about 1986 or so.

The Keep Idaho Green one is by my long time friend and tatt artist Erik Payne of Inkvision, the Grasshopper was second favorite coffee shop in A-town (Bluebird didn't have shirts), Snot Remover by Mark Gonzales for ATM a small skate company he had in the early 90s and then the back of the RUN DMC/BB shirt.

BAck of the Metallica one, SWEET Public Enemy front, Pusmort from 1987, LOL Boise Bud Crew shirt by Noble. I had a skateboard/snowboard shop called BBC, Boise Board Co. The whole crew was major stoners and Noble made a series of these Bud Crew shirts. LOL again. It's going to be fun to wear some of these.

OMFG Public Enemy! BAck of Skate Police, Foundation Skateboards "Power", My DRI backpatch from my jean jacket in high school, Grind was one of Boise Idaho's first punk band. They were all about skateboarding which was ironic because the singer was Erik Payne (yes the tattoo guy) who could neither skateboard nor sing. This shirt is a fucking classic. And a quick way to get Erik all red and embarrassed. This shirt is probably a 1986.

What an awesome thread. I pack rat a lot of stuff, but clothes I am pretty good about giving away once I don't wear them anymore, so this would be impossible for me.

I keep all my shirts, except for the ones that I lose. You have more awesome stuff than I do.

I wish I still had my "I love a parade" shirt with the sniper on the roof. that shit was awesome.

I lost alot of my best ones to a stupid girlfriend. She worked at this place called Buffalo Exchange and decided she was going to sell a box of my shirts because I didn't need 'em. She's the only ex that I still want to murder. There was probably a dozen sweet Santa Cruz ones in that box. In fact if the pimp Septic Death one is gone I might kill her yet.

I need a new Public Enemy shirt. Mine's getting all ratty :(

I don't have those two anymore. My mom threw 'em out. THe photo was just on the same page in the album as my jeans jacket one.

I did used to keep all of my busted decks. When the stack got a little higher than my waist it wouldn't stand on its own very good. It fell over while I was moving and all the pieces got mixed up and I said "fuck it, now's a great time to be rid of this shit". I kinda wish I still had it though. I do have a half a dozen that feature custom griptape jobs that I spent hours with. I have those nailed to my wall in my office.

I decided not to pull out the Serial Killer Lord Humungus shirt I have. It's dark green and I put it away early so the screen would still be nice when I bust it back out.

That one was actually an iron-on because I was lazy. You can see in the corner where it was already getting fucked up. I still have the pic I used somewhere. If I knew where to get a small amount of quality versions of these made for a reasonable price, I would totally do it though. Silkscreening at home would be awesome too. I should think about learning to do this.

I unfortunately, have lost a lot of my awesome vintage shirts to various ex boyfriend's houses over the years...I've managed to keep my collection of pins in tact, though.

The first one is a shirt for Francis Ford Coppola's line of wines. The Air Supply shirt is probably my favorite -- it's from 1982, fits perfectly, and had never been worn until I bought it two years ago.

When I was like, ten, I used to have these two boss-ass shirts. One was of Jeff Gordon and Superman and Jeff Gordon's Superman car. The other one was like that, but it had Jeff Gordon and fucking Episode I shit. They got really small, really quick.

So I busted the crazy Public Enemy shirt last night at the UFC party. It was a literal chorus of "OMG, WTF, That is ILL, Are you kidding?, where did you get that, let me get that, look at the glasses on Terminator!!!" and so forth.

After it was over and I sat down the dude that lives there couldn't stop going on. Finally he was like "man, what size are you?", and I said XL. He then told me that he has a RUN DMC shirt he'll never wear because he's too damn fat. Then produced this shirt. It's a Hot Topic but who cares?!?!?! RUN DMC!!!

That's some nice shit. I have a sugar hill gang tshirt in my box that's orange and white and faded just perfect.

Ya know what? It's a ringer. I hate ringers. But it's RUN DMC so I'll probably wear it a few times at least.

And this thread has been so well received that I'll probably dig up more old shirts for photos (all of the ones already here are from one box out of three) and snap a few of current shirts that are sweet.

Back in the day i bought tshirts like crazy, now I don't really wear many, unless I'm at an outdoor event in the summer. I'm glad other people are carrying the torch.

I never buy shirts anymore. In November I stopped counting at 13 free shirts. Between the t-shirt happy jiu jitsu and rock 'n roll scenes I frequent my upper body will be clothed for life.

So far this year I'm up to two shirts and two hoodies at no cost.

Oh I'd buy the right shirt. But I never see those. I bought some whilst in Japan and would definitely buy one or more in any foreign country I visit in the future. Corona t shirts rule though, they have a great marketing department.

If I buy a shirt in a store I put it away for a year or more before i break it out. Some shirts are too awesome to do this with, but i find its a good way to keep yourself from wearing the same shit other people are wearing.

Unfortunately I am now stuck with a lot of large and medium shirts I've never worn.

Had to go down to Rainier Beach to see the vet Marco is getting his tear duct CAUTERIZED on Friday and popped into Emerald City on the way home. On my way out I saw this and asked for a price and the guy didn't know. There was an awkward pause where I thought for a spilt second he was about to flip into guitarshop douche mode and then he said "Ya got a tenner?". Fuck yes I do.

A word on Scuttlebutt. Went to a Brewfest a few years back (where I got the shirt) where you get like, 5 tokens and a taster glass, and I saved my last token for Scuttlebutt's IPA. 5.87% alcohol/vol. Tasty. Sat down at some Kirkland park where the keg throws were going on and had some Kodiak. Good times.

Seriously, try their IPA.
