The Rangers hit the net on one of their three shots to complete the collapse. Time to watch the Philly shootout.

First loss by the Rangers after having a 5 goal lead.
First win by Montreal after being down by 5.


If Price hadn't started that game, and if Montreal hadn't had that douchebag take all those goddamn penalties, it never would have been a five goal lead.
Montreal completely earned this. They ramped it up with 7 left in the second, scored a couple of excellent goals after sustained offensive zone pressure where the Rangers were playing VERY tight defense, outmuscled the Rangers, and then gassed them completely, and got a little luck.

Montreal is one of the best passing teams in the East. Price had a horrible night from the moment he suited up, but both he and Huet can lock down when they get hot. They are fucking scary.


I can't wait to hear the radio jocks ripping into the Rangers again. They only talk about the Rangers when there's room to rip them to shreds.

Of the five goals, 2 or 3 were completely unstoppable. At least. Possibly 4, I need to go through the highlights. The one off the leg was pure luck.

Anyway that was like the worst possible night in the nhl for the Devils. Pitt with two, Philly, Montreal, NYR, and Ott all get points.

I can't decide if I'd rather see the Rangers or Flyers miss the playoffs. Thanks to the Southeast, I'm not sure both is an option.

It's fucked that the Southeast is so bad and still so close, it must be keeping GM's from unloading talent off those teams.

Anyway, the Devils goddamn better well beat San Jose. It will be hard, but I know they can. Of all the hideously terrible Western teams the Sharks had to roll around the east coast this year. The Rags have an easy fucking schedule ahead, and beyond that the Devils need to keep pace with the East leaders, and prove they can hang. I'm looking forward to it. LET'S FUCKING GO DEVILS!
