I actually don't go to the mall, they are hell on earth. Online shopping FTW.
Button downs are solid, as long as A) they aren't faggy, and B) fit well.

Are you actually recommending that as something I should read or just trying to make a joke, because I'm all ears for suggestions.
(I don't go to the mall either, but I should give online clothes shopping a try. This way omg I can run everything by TNL and it'll be like, omg amazing)
Both I assume.
I don't know if I'd bother with a book when I have TNL to ride my dick hard enough to get the message through.
Are you talking about What Not to Wear as if it's a book?
It's a show on TLC. Where they take retarded women who cling to their horrible clothes and throw money at them until the buy something that looks decent. They hardly ever have men on the show.
(I only know this because my girlfriend watches it, I SWEAR)
Ah ok.
Also lol.
Thief, it's not about being shallow, it's about how you present yourself to other people. If you wear the same shit for five years, it kind of says 'I gave up caring a long time ago.' People have individual taste, which is what the whole style portion is about, but throwing on whatever is comfy is not about a decent presentation of self. How professional can you look in that stuff, or how nice do you look to a random girl passing by?
Try some shit out. Get two or three styles of jeans, see which you prefer. Try some t-shirts (Express, H&M both have good sales on respectable t-shirts that are still very comfortable and casual without looking like high school trash). Find a button-down striped shirt or something, or a decent jacket. You don't need to drop a shitload of money to get some comfortable clothes that make you look nice. There's nothing shallow in wanting to look good and feeling good about it.
I've always been a complete tomboy, and my 'style' reflects that. I wear gender-neutral shoes most of the time (Puma Romas) that look fine with almost everything and keep my feet happy. Most of my wardrobe consists of t-shirts that don't wrinkle. I'm in college, this is what works. I also own a fair share of feminine shirts and can make myself look awesome for a date if I want to, and I own those casual but dressy girl flat shoes. They're less comfortable, but they're incredibly functional, and at times they are more appropriate. It's just a balance. Clothes can be fun even if you tend to hate them (like I always have).
Just don't be so hostile to a little change.
Try on what you buy. I mean unless it's a t-shirt or something.
And if you like baggy clothes, I'm going to bet that you are getting a shirt that is... at least two sizes too big. The people who work at these stores can be pretty helpful when it comes to finding the right fit too.
Online clothes shopping is swell if you're willing to return a lot of stuff to get the sizing right, or get your shit tailored.
Or is you learn your sizes in a certain brand by going to the mall (lol) and trying clothes on then shopping from the computer.
Depending on the shirt it's either a large or a medium. anymore than that would just be ridiculous, while any less would be.. well. Retarded.
