Its VERY hard to find a "worn" pair of jeans that don't look like someone spray painted a white strip down the front leg. (see: maddox rant) Those affliction ones boarder on it, but I still think you can pull it off. Might want to always wash them inside out (this may be an old wives tale)

I don't do pre-whatever jeans. I have a couple pairs with holes in them, but they were worn and faded through use. I stopped paying out of the nose for jeans as well. I may eat those words in the future, but I think you can get some nice looking jeans without paying $80+ for them.
The first black pair looks great though. I really need to get a new pair of black shoes. I don't really like the pair I have at all. And one thing I discovered about Florsheim shoes is that the soles will wear down really quickly and you'll need to get them re-soled after... six months or so.
