Fuck you, I love Target.

I know. =/
Who wears a hat? Depressing sports team baseball caps don't count.
I recently bought an awesome hat while I was in Seattle, at an awesome hat store. Bernie Yutz Hats downtown, check it out. The hat was originally for a costume of sorts, but I'm smitten with it and intend to wear it when appropriate, but not traditionally being a wearer of hats I'm not sure what's usual.

Are accessory hats usually reserved for weekends? Night life? (I have none.) Cool for work? (I can't fit a hat under my helmet anyway.) Only wear outdoors? Do you wear it while driving? Remove the hat when a lady enters the room? Or are they all just stupid if they don't have a Starter logo on them?
Hats are tricky as fuck to pull off without looking like a douche. I don't even try.
Me with a hat:

I wear skullcaps when it's cold or one of my Cuban military hats (one is still adorned with CvC buttons) on random summer days when my hair is out of control. This is the one and only time I've worn a fedora.
A blurry photo taken by a drunk guy before me and a girl got into a fight. It's why I have so few photos up on Facebook.
I don't want to wear other people's stains.
I'm the cheapest motherfucker on earth and I still know how to shop & dress myself.
I think the only reason Old Navy stays in business is because kids need school uniforms and adults need polo shirts for their jobs. Occasionally soccer moms need socks. There is not really a lot of room for "fashionable" there.
H&M is pretty fantastic for both guys and girls. I will also once again praise Forever21 for being awesome for guys and girls as well, but many men apparently fear the store.
They sell men's clothes at Forever 21?
Or are they like Express Mens where you never know if there's going to be one connected to the Women's section?
http://www.forever21.com/21men/default.asp
it depends on what city you're in, usually...the larger f21 stores always have a men's section, the smaller ones sometimes do, sometimes not. They have some absolutely fantastic men's clothes though.

These are pretty sweet but cargo pockets? Come on, Forever 21.
Oh good their retarded store locator can sort by every single one of their stupid store names OTHER than the mens.
I have NEVER seen a Men's section in Forever 21. Ever.
Me neither, maybe it's more common on the west coast?
hmmm...weird! I've only seen one f21 that hasn't had a men's section, and it's in a really ghetto mall. perhaps it is a west coast thing.
Pick me out an outfit that you think will look good on me from F21 Men's, Sats. I'll see what you can do.
awesome, I love doing this.

I'm actually not super fond of their current outerwear section, but if i had to go with something i'd choose

this jacket
also as an added bonus, these shoes in black (not f21 but they don't have guy's shoes)

The only things I mind are the jacket and sunglasses. The jacket looks like a trash bag. I have a sleeker one I can pull off. The sunglasses would be fine if they weren't so bright. I'm not that loud of a person. My personality may be huge but my clothing is pretty tame.
I love the tee, the pants are weird but in a good way, and the shoes are very abnormal and would give my Chucks a break.
yeah, i agree totally. the jacket was a stretch, i have a jacket that would look better than that. hahaha, no worries on the sunglasses. I have very very very loud taste in sunglasses, my most recent buy were these:

if you purchase any of the articles, show me when you get them! i enjoy seeing lots of different clothing on guys...
That wrinkly-assed Ramones jacket has got to go, especially with a light-grey hood.
I'd wear the shit out of those pants & shoes though.
Haha I probably won't get new clothes for a month or two. I'll just shoot you a pm or picture message to your phone.
I don't care for those shoes.
Though I'm currently wearing these shoes from outer space, so you may want to ignore me.
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/a...1&d=1274311791
I always do.
I like the pants you chose, and I have really been getting into outwear although it is no longer good weather for my favorite stuff. That being said, well I would have to see that jacket on someone pulling it off to judge well. I couldn't really see Ramon in it.
Ha!
Yeah, I give no fuck.
THE FUCK, IT IS NOT GIVEN.
I wear chucks for shows. The rest of the time I'm in these hideous things because they feel good. Nike Free 5.0, yo.
What the fuck is wrong with Nikes?
They're not as counter culture as his clogs.
Because Icarusfall wears clogs, in case you didn't know.
Nigga I work in a kitchen. I also wear crocs. I don't know, Nike tried to muscle their way into the skate world. I used to have stickers that said "Nike don't skate". They've always been seen by my people as part of the problem. It's like buying major label cd's.
No it isn't. Fuck yourself.
Wear more plaid shorts you uptown faggot.
Says the fucking hippie.
Hippie? You really just know nothing about me, do you?
should he? What do we know about you, you are angry and were raped as a kid?
Nike does suck for buying and shitcanning airwalks
does anyone know of good places to buy clothes in London?
If you're gonna call someone something it's best if they are that thing.
I thought Nikes were cool when I was twelve.
I think Nikes are comfortable when I'm 31.
I want to find a pair of shoes that looks nice, loafer-esque but with solid structure, stellar foot support, made in some country other than China (preferably the good ol' USA). I usually wear a pair of New Balance 992s that are great to wear, but just about the dopiest match for a collared shirt this side of Heelies.
If you are concerned about ethics, Toms shoes seem like a good bet. I don't know if they're actually comfortable, but they look nice in a granola sort of way.
Too much rolled up sleevage happening in that store. I don't mind rolling up sleeves. It's not a bad idea. But it is a bad idea when you wear a thick ass leather coat and then haphazardly force your sleeves up for no reason. I suppose it makes it more "casual". But... needlessly trendy. Not too bad, though. Some nice things there.
I love loud shoes. I have a couple of sneakers, but my favorite are firetruck red Fred Perry's.

I like the slightly tapered toe. Could do without the historic tennis champion symbol. But nothing's perfect, I guess.
They look like Sonic's shoes.
They look awesome with a dark blue jean (or fur). I don't wear them all the time. I have white, tan plaid/green, blue, grey sneakers too. I like to mix and match but I like the red ones the most. The material is really awesome too. It's made for tennis so it's not rigid like a running shoe (which are built for max support). Also I bought them for 25 dollars down from 70+.
I would wear those.
OMG, 8 year old me, needs those!
EDIT: is this the same shoe
http://www.shoes.com/Shopping/produc...LAID=331571889
hahaha those are pretty cool.
Yep that's it. My folks thought I was insane buying them. 25 bucks, man!
OMG THEY HAVE GREEN TOO
Thanks for your input. South Korea does have some American clothing retailers, Gap being the most prominent. It's just a pain in the ass because I have to take the train to Seoul, and their sizing structure is way different here, and I have to take cash with me to avoid a credit surcharge, and wah wah bitch bitch I want to shop online.
Sadly, H&M doesn't do the online thing, but I did follow up on Tones' suggestion and picked up a couple of those shirts from Express. I also added a couple pairs of jeans, because they look nice. Worst case, I exchange something that doesn't fit properly. Best case (and my hopes are kinda high, I'll admit), the clothes will be awesome and Express will be getting a lot more of my business. More to come.
I also ordered some khakis and a shirt from Gap. Now I'm in the market for shoes. While I didn't care for the particular shoes Satsuki posted from Aldo, I found their website and overall selection to be outstanding. I want to acquire a pair of somewhat fashionable shoes, and a pair of their sneakers. I'm thinking this for the former...
Attachment 54823
...and this for the latter.
Attachment 54824
My goal is for the shoes to be compatible with my standard button-down and jeans/khakis look. Thoughts?
I'd wear the bottom ones. I don't really rock patent leather. I don't know what you look like so it's hard to judge what fits your style.
I look like a normal white guy. And the shiny nature of the top shoe did leave me somewhat hesitant. I much prefer the one on the bottom, but I want something black and fashionable as well.
They're mostly to go with this kind of shirt and these kinds of jeans or these jeans (also to be occasionally swapped for khakis or mildly dressier pants). I tend to keep my shoes low-key, but I'm at the point where I'm sort of overhauling everything and I'm not averse to trying something more bold or off the beaten path. Recently I've been alternating between some brown Doc Martens and white Adidas Sambas. I must expand, and risks are okay.
I agree with Ramon. But I wear sneakers to board meetings and don't give a fuck. A lot of my friends like the leather look. Too serious IMO. I also hate the look of those leather shoes you picked out. But maybe in Korea the futuristic velcro leather look is on fire? Stick to a no-lace loafer or something.
I also think khakis are lame. Lazy-casual imo.
Khakis rule if you know what to look for in them. Mine are fine and I'll fuck your mother while wearing them around my ankles.
I have leather chucks that I've only used a handful of times. Special occasions only imo.
khakis are faggot wear.
automatic fuckhead clothes.
You don't know shit.
Khakis are pretty faggy.
The only acceptable pants are the ones I am wearing here:
http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/a...1&d=1274031811
Punk rock or die.
We all have to grow up sometime.
Yep, then you get real dress pants.
Not fag Khakis.
Levi's 501 or GTFO.
I'm the most exciting right now than I have ever been and I'm grown up. Your point has been invalidated, tubs.
And Levi's 511 or go home.
Button fly, don't need no metal teeth down there. Braces notwithstanding.
Sorry but these:
http://www.gap.com/Asset_Archive/GPW...1-02p01v01.jpg
are pretty damn spiffy.
Spiffy is an old man word.
Lol those pants mean you kiss dudes on the penis.
Khakis are gaytacular.
Total faggot confirmed.
I am a fairly big fan of the meltin pot jeans I got in france. Not sure if they are all of the same quality and style, i haven't heard much about the brand, but I think I can easily say its the best pair of jeans I have owned. And they are reversable, which also owns.
Motherfucking Kohls. This is the place you want to go if you are ever considering getting clothes at Target. Not only do they have better prices and styles and higher quality products (well, marginally); their clearance racks are a goldmine. I found a ton of really nice jeans for $7, and a few pairs of dressy pants for $12 each. Best yet, they were in sizes below fatty mcfat, a known rarity on clearance racks.
I've had nothing but bad Kohls experiences.
I'm not a fan of Kohls either. The one in Union Square is a disaster. I'll pay $45 for a pair a pants I know I can get and will fit.
For any of you who use ties, www.thetiebar.com is an excellent place to get your fix. They only sell skinny ties, as far as I can tell. You shouldn't be wearing a tie bigger than 2.5" anyway.
I'm not sure if you're being serious or not. Skinny ties have been back in fashion for at least a year that I know of.
Actually they do sell normal ties. So eat a fat one.
Buy skinny if you know how to wear it, don't if you're A. a fatty or B. can't dress yourself.
Also, Kohl's is garbage.
Meach falls under both categories. So sad.
I want to get fitted for a suit that I want to buy online. Where can I go to do this?
(Chain stores are fine, or anywhere in WNY on the off chance anyone has experience there.)
(I'd prefer to avoid Men's Warehouse because I had to go there a few times recently for a friend's wedding and I really didn't like the staff.)
Any tailor at all will measure you.
Also, don't buy a fucking suit online. All suits fit differently and if you do not try it on you do not know how it will look on you even with tailoring.
I bought a CK tux online and had it tailored when I got it. Shit was fucking cash.
I mean as long as you know your sizings it's not that big of a deal to buy one online, especially if you're familiar with the brand and know whether they tend to run slim or not, but it definitely is a gamble... just like buying any clothes online.
But based on MonsterMash not even knowing where to go to get his sizings, I'd stay away from buying online.
I find buttons a nuisance when going to the washroom. I have a couple pairs of nice jeans (I usually wear jeans 90% of the time) that have them, but every time I think to myself how much more convenient a zipper is. It's fast, and nobody see's that shit most of the time anyway. And it's not like a girl will ever be like WAT! YOU WEAR BUTTON FLY JEANS? OMG BLOWJOB4U.
It should also be noted that the 2.5" tie Razor referred to isn't at all a skinny tie, either. It's just not runaway wide, either. I don't rock ties much. I hate that snug noose-feel around my neck.
I really don't enjoy ties =(.
They're rather unnecessary.
