You might have heard it as "Psychic Assassin Taohmaru" (or not). But the price is mostly due to being pretty rare, and that it's a decent/good 2D action game. I never played it myself.
Oh and for the record, I also loved Azel Panzer Dragoon, but hated Skies of Arcadia. Azel isn't really like the best RPG ever or anything, but it's got a fun/unique battle system, a different kind of story than other jRPGs and a really cool feel because of the organic Panzer Dragoon world.
It's probably dirt cheap in Japan, check out Willy Wombat. It's a overhead CG sprite on 3D backdrop dungeon platformer and completely in English. It's got some quirks but is has held up better than other 32 bit offerings to me. *-neo
Yeah, Willy Wombat is pretty common and cheap.
He didn't get SPOD until VF2 and no DLC until VF3. What he had in 1 were P strings like Jacky but they were executed in a funky way. Try picking up the VF1 mook, I'm sure you can get it for like 100 yen at Book Off. It explains details like how the game runs in 30fps etc.
I'd love to play Radiant Silvergun one day...
Wasn't there a Gungriffon game for the first Xbox?
I thought Blaze was okay for what it was. It's pretty ugly and I haven't played it in years, but I had some fun with it back then.
Battle Garegga and Silvergun are just too good. Do not miss those. To me, theres nothing even close. Infinite replay value. I always boot up the final boss of Radiant just to show my casual gamer friends just how crazy some games can get. The heart beating, falling crystal bit in particular.
Battle Garegga is just nuts though, excellent game in the medal shooter style.
