Also, the fact we have yet another superstorm coming bothers me.
2-4 inches, snow and sleet. 29f high for overnight, 15 mph winds winter storm warning.
Well, at least O&A are on Friday mornings for my long drive to work. When will these 2-3 storms a week end? It's god damn march.
As for me, I'm bugged by me asking someone to do something that was urgent for a client on Monday (that I couldn't do for numerous reasons), them not fucking doing it, and I get an ear full today from the client. I'm about to kick in some faces.
The real storm is supposed to hit Saturday.
Yeah okay, it's supposed to hit around 9pm and go straight through Saturday. Which sucks because I'm driving my Saturn up to NY to get it out of here.
My shoulder's been bugging me for a couple weeks and finally it just fucking locked the fuck up so I went to see the PT. She says that my "upper cervical area is incredibly inflamed". She also went on to say "you are definitely messed up so don't be a little tester. You don't need to turn your head all the way to see if you're really hurt. You are. And you need to relax and not push it for a couple weeks". Well fuck the Pan Ams are in a couple weeks and now I'm fucked right outta that.
So I went from not being able to train at all due to not having any partners due to skin issues to having a fucked up neck and not being able train under pain of heinous injury.
I actually cried a little when discussing it with one of the aides at the physical therapy place. He trains too and is on our Pan Ams team. He knows very well the amount of dues being paid by all of us and it was difficult to maintain a stiff upper lip with him there wanting to talk about the whole thing.
I've been working hard for this and now all I can say to myself is "maybe next year".
Shoulder issues suck, trust me I've had several. Best thing to do is continue to work on range of motion and your joints (both your body and the other kind) patience is a key if you try to return early that inflamed area will burst your cartiledge and then it's rotator cuff time!!
