Someone get me a working FDS.
Pmed.
Shit, dude, I will be your first customer.
Do you want pretty or cheap?
I could probably sell you the ugliest one at cost.
Camera - Yeah. §179 expense.
Internet - I just wouldn't expense 100% of the bill. Obviously it's supposed to be apportioned between business and personal use, but good luck having that being precisely determined without keeping a chess clock on the desk and writing times down. For some things like that, if it's trivial enough, I have often recommended to just omit it.
Gas - It's probable, at least considering where you live, that you'd benefit more from the flat Cents Per Mile rate rather than accounting the actual expenses of gas and maintenance and then apportioning that among personal and business use. Keep a note of your odometer readings on your trips while accumulating your gas receipts and take the time to see which helps you more.
That's really about the extent of what I can give as far as "tips" in those specific instances. Nothing that's not common sense, basically.
I've never paid taxes on a business, so I wouldn't say it was common sense.
Suppose you're taking a test for a literature class and you are presented with the following true/false question:
According to the text, what a poem does not tell us is just as important as what it does.
The text states: "Remember, it is almost as important to know what a poem does not us as what it does."
Is the answer True or False?
Error Macro
If I was in the business or literature department I would say true.
If I was in the engineering department I would say false because the word is changed to almost and engineering teachers are shitheads.
Well my thought was that since this IS a literature class, words and their meanings are kind of important.
Apparently I thought wrong.
I'd go with true.
duh, it's false
HOWEVER
what a poem does not tell us is just as important as what it does.
The text states: "Remember, it is almost as important to know what a poem does not us as what it does."
Technically you don't have to know shit for the first sentence to be true. Maybe it's just naturally as important.
meaning this question sucks, what the hell school do you go to
also, that text isn't even grammatically correct... "does not us"???????????
Clown college.
I like when people who teach poetry don't bother learning the point of it first.
My vote is "true" because there's a better chance your prof is careless than deceptive.
I'd want both!
Gohan just hooked me up nasty with an amazing deal from some dude on the Neo Geo forums. On further inquiry, he knows my IRL friend George as well so I'm pretty comfortable working with this guy. I'll post the deets when it's all done.
Oh, and I say true as well. Probably ate a "tell" in that sentence.
So, will you be needing a famicom or fds
Neither, I think I'm good now.
Always on the lookout for games, though.
Driving my kids to school today, we passed Kimberly's art school and saw it in flames. The FD was there, showering it with water, and the building's entire roof had collapsed. Kimberly only lost a half-finished painting, but some kids lost months of work. One little girl was finishing an AMAZING painting of the three wise men, and that's gone now. Kimberly was bummed out the whole day because he teacher had lost her business. That was her first thought, which made me proud.
wonder what she did to GohanX
I have no idea how SSJN stays sane. How many times have you dealt with this?
He apparently doesn't understand cockroach egg sack longevity or he wouldn't be anywhere near that shit.
Thankfully I've never had to deal with an infestation, but I've certainly had a few people try to trade in systems that were infested like that. The roaches are drawn to the heat.
One store that caters more to an "urban" clientele has had multiple infestations. It takes forever to get rid of them.
Well, at least he's outside.
That happened to my sister once. They rented a PlayStation from Blockbuster back in the day and they ended up having to bomb the whole house. Gross.
Fucking this. I remember a story a friend of mine told me once when they opened up a Saturn system. The roaches in that one were still alive and when he popped opened the unit not knowing about em, They swarmed out of the thing like a small wave. Scared the everliving piss out of him.
When I was about seven or eight I was helping my dad inspect a trailer home that was left on some land he had purchased. I went in the back room and slid the sliding closet door shut.
Between the sliding door was a swarm of hornets or wasp. They had gotten between the two doors to stay warm in the winter. They hit the floor like someone poured a bucket out.
I have never exited a building as fast as I exited that trailer.
We're talking a cartoonish Benny hill like exit.
I opened my front door this morning to find a trash bag tied up with twine on my doorstep. Apparently I was visited by the toilet paper fairy last night.

Someone is trying to tell you something.
I wish I knew what it was!
wipe your ass
A reasonable assumption.
TP is one thing I seriously splurge on, only the softest and strongest for my brown eye.
I barley see my neighbors and have only spoken to them a handful of times in the past 4 years. This is kinda creeping me out.
Get a bidet.
You can't cheap out on TP. I hate people that do that. Let me just go out back and rub my ass on the ground like a dog instead of using the thin-ass sandpaper rasp you call TP.
ok
I use the cheapest toilet paper available. I don't give a fuck.
Sometimes I go half and half. Get cheap tp but get flushable wipes too. Use them for the heavy lifting.
Those wipes are actually not flushable. They'll go down the toilet but just get stuck in whatever comes next.
Yeah, you need good TP to wipe any large quantities of shit off, then the wet wipe will just clean up the area. I don't want to throw a wipe carrying anything more than stains into my garbage can.
http://hereandnow.wbur.org/2015/03/2...n-sewers-rance
Over the past few years sales for pre-moistened, flushable wipes have skyrocketed and so has the budget of local water companies trying to clear the drains of the cleansing cloths.
It turns out that these wipes aren’t all that flushable — because they don’t break down in the drains.
So they aren't suitable for flushing, therefore they are not flushable
Being flushable and not being good for old sewer pipes isn't the same thing.
If you can flush it, it is flushable.
Bleach is drinkable.
Wrong.
Flushable means it can break up in the pipes and go into the sewer treatment systems. The wipes do not do that.
You are an engineer. Think this through. Nobody thinks about where their piss and shit goes but the system doesn't stop at the bottom of your toilet.
Yeah, they found an amazingly huge mass gumming up the London sewers comprised of fat and flushed butt wipes. It was like something out of a horror movie.
Fuck this shit. Wake up, Ford! Speed limits are bullshit, especially on highways! Read up and get informed. I imagine the speed camera companies won't like this since this could cut into their ticket revenues.
I got a response to this question after submitting another one about another quiz. This time, the question was a multiple choice in which several answers applied and we were to choose each one that was applicable. Yet you could only choose one. So we all automatically got it wrong.
Her response:
"Thanks for letting me know about that. I went in to edit the question, but I can't since students have already submitted responses. I deleted it instead. The system should automatically regrade the quiz.
Regarding your previous question: I wish I could accommodate your request. Yes, you're right. This is a poetry unit, so the nuance of a word matters; however, exchanging the word "just" with "almost" doesn't void the meaning of the statement. My intent is never to trick my students; my questions/prompts should not be taken as poetry [I never said anything about this being poetry. I said it was a literature class. I guess literature and poetry are as synonymous as almost and just].
It's only one point. You clearly have practiced and well-developed literary interpretation skills. Your discussion posts and assignments are impressive for a freshman course. A single point won't make a difference in your grade."
So it's only one point, so I shouldn't care. But then it's only one point, so why can't she just give it to me? She clearly wishes* she could, so what's stopping her? I'm to receive a lower grade due to my well-developed literary interpretation skills? I seriously hate this prof. I spent the better part of two hours preparing for a quiz last night. I opened the quiz and it was one question in which we matched up 5 sentences with 5 terms. Each sentence had a pull down menu so you could choose A,B,C,D, or E. . The terms were head scratchers like Myth, Archetype, A.E. Shilling, Eden, and Jung and Freud. You know, things that are clearly general enough that you may mix one up with another. Things that require lots of thought and reflection.
The answers were:
1. A
2. B
3. C
4. D
5. E
Yeah. Clown college.
* That made me giggle, as the fucked up multiple choice question asked "Whish of these apply?"
this sounds like quizzes you get in video games where you have to work backwards from what the devs were thinking
like LA Noire
you are in LA Noire school and that isn't where you want to be
Sex sells.
I mean, I understand why auto manufactures do it, I don't understand why the state allows it.
It's a horrible idea. Cars going the speed limit (at least the ones currently set) means traffic congestion up to our eyeballs. Speed limits are set too low and all that does is create an opportunity for insurance companies and local municipalities to get money from issuing tickets/increasing premiums. Acceleration on the road creates space for cars to move forward. Going slow eliminates that space for cars to move and that's why we have congestion (well, that and other factors like road design, etc.).
The only time I'd agree this is a good idea is if speed limits were actually set to legitimate levels that didn't contribute to traffic congestion. But as of now, they're 15-20 mph below maximum safe speed, ignoring the 85th percentile rule.
And here I thought that a good deal of traffic problems were caused by people whipping around people doing the speed limit and making people slam their breaks on.
Depending on how this works, it's pretty dangerous for a couple reasons.
Because everyone rates themselves as an above average driver and it's everyone else's fault.
Sure. About 4 years ago I started driving the speed limit and staying in the right lane pretty much all of the time. If I have to leave two minutes earlier then so be it.
There is absolutely no reason you should be able to buy a car that can go over 75mph in this country.
"Oh no. I have to listen to totally awesome music for an extra 5 minutes today"
That's hilarious.
"the potential for being involved in an accident is highest when traveling at speed much lower or much higher than the majority of motorists.” If every car sets its cruise control at the same speed, the odds of a fender bender happening is low. But when some cars drive 55 mph and others drive 85 mph, the odds of cars colliding increases dramatically"
Sounds like more people should drive the speed limit to me.
No.
I hope Ryan cuts you off when it's raining and you lose control of your vehicle.
Unlikely. We drive like gentlemen.
Studies have been done that show the majority of traffic congestion and problems stem from a few drivers doing under the speed limit, or being overly aggressive on their brakes. A lot of our current speed limits aren't based on "safest speed" or anything of that sort, their just arbitrary numbers that people went with. Speed limits need a revisiting, not just for their number value but also who cops target.
Limit. What does it mean?
your face is wrong
He's got a point.

This fucking bullshit. My wife works at this school, and my son attends 2nd grade there too. Apparently it was much more serious than the news is letting on, and they're being especially vague so as not to give the dude any attention. My wife said it was absolutely terrifying, state troopers, machine guns, teachers getting escorted out of the building by nervous cops with guns drawn. I sent them both to school this morning and I really wish I hadn't.
I think its bullshit to make it less of a thing than it is, and I hope nothing more comes from it. I'm surprised this didn't make any of the national news networks, and that's kind of bullshit too. That said though I agree with not giving the dude any attention.
I wouldn't be surprised if you see fewer cases reported to avoid copy cats and publicity hounds.
It's not bugging me, but it's bugging my coworkers. A business came to the branch to pay rent today.
In 1's.
10,177.50. In 1's and 2 quarters.
I fucking hope not.
Edit: It'd take her a long time to make that money. Prostitute maybe less time.
What's the story behind that business, Chux? Paying 10 grand in 1's is a pretty blatant 'fuck you.'
Pennies would be even better.
It's literally a laundromat. They didn't give us the money directly, they gave it to the property management company that the father of the owner of my office owns. So they just brought it down to us because we have the account.
It's a huge fuck you. I'd take a picture of just how much money 10k in 1's looks like but that's not a good idea to be taking pictures of the vault, you know?
Edit: Turns out they were a few months behind in rent and told the property manager that they only way they'd get the payment was in $1's. He said "That's fine, my son owns the bank" thinking he'd call their bluff.
So here we are.
I know you can't take a pic, but how big is that? I'm having a hard time picturing that many singles.
Can you picture clearing out your PMs?
Attachment 76320
That's half.
They're a laundromat. You're a bank. Pop the bills in your electro-counter and bam it's counted.
On the bright side, you now know where you can grab a bunch of reasonably hard to trace bills next month.
It's not URGENT. just looking for an update, if any.
