Online selling is slowly losing its allure for me. It seems like very year, people read a little less and get a little more annoying. I need my business to hold out for another year until I transfer to a UC, but after that I think I'm done unless I'm just getting rid of stuff I don't need. I really love shopping and curating a good stock of fun things but customers are just really ruining it for me overall.
Robot - pick up some Immodium asap, that stuff is a godsend.
I blame phones.
I had a rash of problems when they released the ebay app. People where just buying shit without reading the description.
Hell, some didn't even look at the pictures. They were just opening shit up and hitting buy.

We had a 14 top walk in on Wednesday who got all uppity things took a few minutes. We're a 30 seat place.
There's a local game store I frequent, one of their "things" is a bin of games (mainly scratched up or sport titles) that are 5 for $5 or $2 apiece. Within the past year they've started to have Wii/360/PS3 stuff in decent condition confined to the bin, mainly franchises with millions of copies in circulation. I'll typically stop by after work once/twice a week, scope out their DS, PSP, retro, and swing by the bin before heading out.
Earlier this week I found five games, most notably a Fallout 3 GotY (some light scratching on the discs, inserts a little beat up) and headed to the counter. Girl rings the stuff up and stalls at Fallout. Without a word to me she starts speaking to the store manager, they go back and forth; "I can't even remember the last Fallout 3 we got in, I wouldn't sell it to him if I was you". She finally looks up and says sorry that shouldn't have been in the bin and it'll be $8.XX. "So let me understand this, your store made a mistake (which is fine, it was annoying but not a big deal) and had to take back a game, can't I just pay $4 for these?" She seems annoyed; "If you want the 5 for $5 you'll have to go back and find something else."
I've worked retail, understand how bad it sucks, and attempt to be polite as possible to anyone who gets to wade through the crap these guys see on a daily basis. I've been in the store numerous times with people trying to do shady returns, seen plenty of arguments, and customers get enraged over the slightest but seeing their response to a misplaced $10-15 game killed any business they'll get from me again.

It's one way we brick and mortars are helping put ourselves out of existence.
Although how much a store values a customer like Low (meaning he probably only buys extremely cheap stuff because he's smart enough to shop around and patient enough to wait) could also be weighed into it.
But either way, 4 for $4 because of their "mistake" would be a more than reasonable compromise.
Nope, average $50-100 in their store a month, more when they run used game specials. That's part of the reason it ticked me off. The same person checked me out the week before for a brand new Stella Glow and three used Wii games.
If I actually wanted the the four, and wasn't just buying for the sake of having more stuff, then $4.25 each would obviously still be an acceptable price. I'd have just grabbed one more thing at random and thrown it in the trash after buying (preferably their trash, or just back in the bin, since it's already essentially their trash can).

A month ago I listed and sold a couple of limited edition 3DS systems on Amazon. This morning I got an email stating one of the buyers has requested a return. Reason: "my son doesn't want it."
Having to fork back over the stupid amount of money the person paid is annoying, but that's retail. Whatevs. But this was brand new. How do I know it's being returned to me as such? In nintendo's infinite wisdom and cheapness they decided to not put sticker seals or anything on it. What am I to do if it comes back all mangled or obviously opened? WTF!

You could ask if it is opened and tell her that you can only refund half the cost if it is used. But you run the risk of her pissing off and doing a refund request and not sending you shit.
If I was to make my own online ebay like site, I'd put in an area for people to leave reviews of buyers and sellers so people know what they're getting into. There wouldn't be a point system. But you could go read it and see if you want to deal with a buyer and just refund the money if the person appears like a twat. "sorry Ms. Johnson, it appears that you have returned 15 games this year because your child didn't want them. We are a small family owned store and do not have the resources to meet the demands of customers with more than average requirements. GOOD DAY."

I either got them today by walking some place that a cat or similiar animal had been sleeping, or something slept near my doors while I was gone and they came in to stay warm.
I'm suspecting the second as of right now. I think they came in through a crack and infested the clothes basket where the cat had been sleeping. I found the first one when I went into that bathroom at lunch to piss.
Fuck me. I fucking hate fleas so much.
No matter how many times it's bitten me in the ass, I still accept hardware trade ins from "friends" without really testing the stuff first. Thankfully my OCD won't let me just put stuff out for sale without testing, so I'm not passing broken shit onto the customer. But it's still annoying that I have to assume everyone is a jerkface.

About the only use I get out of Facebook is checking in on a few distant privately owned game stores that I frequent for road trips. One store posted today they shutting down at the end of the month, another has been trying to drive more business in last two weeks than two years (hopefully they are just capitalizing on social media finally and not in dire straits).

So, I'm not the only one who beat the fuck out of an iPhone 4 (dropped and cracked the glass, dunked in water thrice) and have it work fine for three years, then get a 5c, never drop or get it wet and 18 months later the battery can't hold a charge for more than 2hrs and it won't accept new cables, not even the apple ones?
For all the stupid things she asks me to do all the time, I never ask her to do anything except for rare occasions. When I do, it's always a hastle. I was taking the medication Wellbutrin for awhile; it was one of the only antidepressants that worked for me. Because she works for a hospital she can get it filled there for cheaper and eventually the insurance wouldn't even let me get it at a regular pharmacy. EVERY time I asked her to to do it for me, she'd end up losing the prescription; forcing me to get another from the doctor. By the time I finally got it, it'd be a week or so late and I'd be out of meds and Wellbutrin has a withdrawal syndrome that I'd have to get through. I just stopped taking it because the hastle of getting the script filled was too much.Quote:

The iPhone 5c is a piece of shit. My charge port got messed up even though I never did anything to it. In order to charge, I had to wrap the wire around the phone because it would only charge if it was at angle. The top button also became increasingly unresponsive. I was so disappointed that I wanted to stop buying their products but I'm going to give one of the new models one last try.Quote:

Edit: My wife is not sketchy, but she does have some serious emotional problems regarding the people around her and how she has this idea of how the people close to her should act and tries to get them to do as such. It was one of their "cheap" models. It was an upgrade over the 4 as it had 4G LTE capability and a larger screen but it just seemed to break down when I'm usually pretty gentle on my phones. The screen breaking was from pretty legitimate trauma but everything else just seemed to happen and get progressively worse. I don't recall having battery issues though.Quote:

I think the Megamall ad is from the Philippines. White Spot is a Vancouver chain that expanded into Asia, tried to expand into Washington state, but doesn't have Canadian locations east of BC as far as I know. Their burgers are decent but don't stand out in any way.
