Because they got diddled too.
I notice we haven't seen a lot of either of them.
This is starting to sound like an Info Wars show.
I have a hard time with it, because the man made the art.
There's definitely a dissonance about it. But so many beloved artists were deviant weirdos.
I used to give MJ a pass like Fe--he seemed innocent enough. But when you look at the piles of evidence things go beyond a reasonable doubt. The man had a fetish for underage boys. I'm not sure why anyone would want to try and throw doubt on it. Read about any psychology about pedos. They're often NOT malicious. They're loving.
But those beats. I don't think of that when Thriller or Get on the Floor come on. It connects with people in a way few did.
I can listen to black metal, and that's nothing but deplorables.
Cosby is such a damn disaster. What a loss of a legacy.

Yeah, it was really unfortunate. He always came off as a really likable and smart guy.
At the same time, he did leave a bunch of human wreckage in his wake. It's cost him his peace and reputation in his declining years.
There really isn't piles of evidence though. There are like 5 kids out of 100s. 1 of them never accused him, it was his insane dad. Another was like 16 and Mj just talked about dicks with on the phone. And the most recent 2 waited until he was dead. 1 of them even defended him repeatedly in court.
With that many kids, if he was molesting them, there would be concrete evidence by now.
That is not to say he wasn't weird. He was probably a gay black man that liked young men that also had arrested development and loved helping kids.
Maybe he was diddling the terminally ill kids while they were drugged.
I still want to believe Jackson was one of the good guys. I think if we could praise guys like Christopher Columbus for so long, we can have some space for Jackson and Cosby.
As crazy as it is, the south park episode was probably the reality. And people can't deal with it. Him being a pedo made more sense to the average person than a gay fetishist with 3 or 4 mental disorders that made good beats and wanted kids to be happy.
You're doing a fine job of trying to shame me for my opinions.
You hear that guys? I'm part of the rape culture because I have opinions about famous people and what they do with their Wang doodles
Also possible.
He had piles of child pornography at neverland. How does that fit into your narrative?
Wrestling photos. They were wrestling photos.
The 23 cent NJ gas tax hits tomorrow.
I really am not a big fan of Halloween and i think most Halloween costumes are stupid.
I was never too sure about MJ. I always wondered why parents allowed their children to get so close to him after some of the accusations became public. One of the later accusations was especially strange. The parent said they were on a plane (or bus or something) and Jackson licked their son's face right in front of them (and they did nothing). The person said his tongue was some strange color and all long and weird looking. It was just a strange story that sounded like a fabrication.
He may have just enjoyed having close relationships with children in a non-healthy way. Maybe he wasn't a "molester" perse but it was definitely unusual and taboo. A lot of parents were extremely careless with their children being around him after knowing he'd been accused of molesting other children. That was one part I never understood.
Literally piles.
Sure, you could throw away all of that. But that doesn't explain how a small child was able to clearly define MJ's penis. How do you excuse that (verified) evidence? A random guess?
The trouble with this is that the very closeness, and inappropriate bonding with children can be in and of itself very very damaging to children as they grow older and in to adolescence (when those types of relationships can be handled a lot better). So intent is relevant here. The idea that he didn't do anything except be too friendly with these kids isn't correct either. So that kind of mentality combined with the porn, the accounts, and the damning penis description clearly shows a pattern of pedophilia beyond what I think anyone would call reasonable doubt. Is there an argument to be made that someone bathing with children (especially ones that aren't theirs) is appropriate?
I don't think anyone is saying what is known to be true was appropriate.
Best case scenario is he had a series of unchecked mental disorders and so much money no one sacked up and told him no.
And worst case scenario was that he was a pedophile and sexual predator.
Guess we'll never know.
worst case scenario, he messed with 6 people while bringing joy to millions. Not high fiving him if he were a pedo, but I don't think it's healthy or productive to reduce a human being's contribution to society to the couple of fucked up things he may or may not have done. Pretty sure a bunch of charities and shit were able to help thousands (millions?) of people because of things he did. Does it excuse him? Absolutely not. Society just so seems schizophrenic in its outcry against insisting everything being binary and then continuing to insist everything be binary. Pobody's Nerfect.
well yeah but he could also not be a child molestor
you know, like most other people
prove it.
nah
Most other people are worthless and will produce nothing that makes me or anyone else happy.
really guys, Off the Wall and Bad sound fucking amazing on headphones. The percussion is great.
He's dead!
Annie Hall is fucking great regardless of Woody Harrelson's relationship with Diane Keaton's african adopted baby.
I prefer Manhattan, but it's between those two.
They can both be great!
Let me go full pedo apologist and say that little boys don't matter as much as girls and who wouldn't be proud to shag the king of pop.
Our apartment complex has lost water again. Third or fourth time this year. It's usually out for a week when this shit happens. I feel like I should get a free fucking month of rent after losing water for a month out of the year.
You probably should. I know where I live, I wouldn't legally have to pay rent for the period that it's out for.

I can separate the man from his art, but there's point in minimizing the man part of it.
Halloween kind of sucked this year...
I've recently been moved to day shifts at my job which I've been pushing for a long time. I was really excited especially because I knew I'd get to take my son out this year (I missed 2 out of 3 before this). It was a family thing with him, my ex-wife, my mom, and me. I was mostly concerned about getting into it with the ex but things went pretty smoothly there (we had a long discussion the other night about stuff between us). Unfortunately, the whole thing didn't end up being fun for any of us. David first got upset because he was playing with other kids in the community center that was having a party. He's really stubborn and he doesn't like to stop what he's doing if he's having fun. I had to drag him out of there with a bunch of whining just to get him to go trick-or-treating but he resisted it every step of the way and we only made it to a few houses. He eventually blew up and I made him sit in the car until he calmed down and told him we were gonna leave if he didn't quit it. Anyways, skipping other details, he had another melt down which got even worse when I told my ex that we had to take him home because enough was enough.
He completely flipped out and was pleading with me and saying "daddy, please no daddy! I'm gonna be good, I'm gonna calm down!" It broke my heart that he had to have his night spoiled after he was so excited about it but I had to discipline him and show him that behavior can't be tolerated. He carried on crying for almost an hour once I got him back in the car. His behavior is usually better with me but he struggles with tantrums and it's much worse when he's with my ex or the both of us are around. I just wanted to have a fun night with my son but the whole experience was just really bad.
Isn't Halloween the day kids are allowed to go berserk?
What can you expect after all that sugar
You did the right thing. I've had to do similar things with my own daughter.
I made a much longer reply but I'm going to use that for a new thread.
I've read studies that have shown that sugar intake does not cause hyperactivity in children. I don't know for sure if they were peer-reviewed but I believe they were.
It still sucks. I hate doing things that make David upset no matter how bad he's being. In a perfect world, I'd love for him to just be happy all the time and get to have fun. Anybody who actually enjoys disciplining their child is probably not a good parent at all.
Last night just left a mark on me. I know I did right and that I'd do it again but I just hated how his night had to be ruined for a once-a-year occasion. He was so excited about it this year and he couldn't wait to put his costume on. Halloween used to be a really great time for my dad and I and I'd just like to pass on that experience to my son. It was a little problematic for him last year too but I wasn't there. He ends up wanting to go in people's houses, eat his candy right away, or stand and stare at decorations that he likes. When you try to keep it moving, he gets real upset after being pulled away from whatever his focus is on. Hopefully next year goes better.
People I know dressed up like crazy this year. This holiday really is hit or miss. Some years it's on and some it ain't
Johnny Turbo deleted my comment!
I guess my credit card expired this month and it doesn't seem that they've sent me a new one. Do they send you a new one? Or do you have to go through the request process again?
I've never had to ask.
They send you a new one way in advance automatically.
:I
I guess let me go dig through the mail on the kitchen table and make sure it didn't fall behind a seat in the van.
:I
It's a pretty big van...
It's normally not labeled.
I found it.
Now cut it up.
I wouldn't recommend that. Inhaling melted plastic fumes can't be good for you.
hooked up my scanner to scan in some documents. And its acting dorked up.
So now we play the uninstall drivers, install new drivers and pray game.
it was the fucking USB cable
FUCKING FUCK DIPPITY FUCK
I scanned this cover in. It was printed on brown paper.
Is there not an easy way in gimp to filter out all colors, leaving only black?
I know this is technically possible. I wrote a short program in college that went through an image swapping color values. All this shit has a pixel position and a numerical value for color.
I shouldn't have to delete all this shit with the magic select tool or the eraser.
Edit: I fiddled with the contrast on the scanner and got it. A shitty solution in my opinion. I only got away with it because it is text
Is there no greyscale setting?
Select all that black text, invert the selection so you're only grabbing the background, and fill with white or just delete what you have selected.
In photoshop you can select a colour range. Is that what you're trying to do?
That was my first thought. But the paper is old and yellow. So it converts a lot of that to black and gray and makes things worse.
That was my second thought, but it still leaves a lot because the texture of the paper is uneven. You still end up manually deleting random colored sprites from around the text.
What worked was upping the brightness and contrast in the scan, then doing that again inside gimp. Then deleting the background. This is going to wreck any photos though.
Well that's weak.
My son text to say he was going to NYC to see Temple of the Dog.
It sucks being jealous of your offspring.
Tickets sold out up here in about 30 seconds.
restoring a page in one of these manuals for reprinting and gimp crashed :I
Didn't lose everything but I lost everything after the last manual save.
Soooo, I guess I'm going to start on the next page and come back to this one.
Went all the way to SF to visit a museum for a school project, museum is closed until December. Feels bad, man.
Stuck in a service center waiting room for 2 1/2 hours. An older couple that was in line behind me asked if I minded if they changed the channel on the tv, which was on ESPN. I said, no, go right ahead.
They turned it to Fox channel news.
Fuck I'm dumb sometimes. What else would they have wanted to watch?
I watched a little Fox News recently. It's not as horrible as John Stewart made it out to be IMO. Still full of bullshit but the panelists on many of their shows are more even. The views of them are often disparate. I would actually say it's much better than CNN.
Good, good. Your transformation is almost complete.
They're all pretty awful, but at least their bias is obvious.
I really miss Sun News. That shit was bonkers.
Remember when NBC fucked up the Jay Leno -> Conan transition? The guy in charge of NBC at the time is now running CNN.
(I don't remember that but I don't doubt that's the case. Anyway...)
That's gross. That's a gross way to live.
I usually watch a mishmash of bloomberg, cnn, fox, and random whatever else. Fox and CNN are currently banned in the house because they just aren't news channels whatsoever at this point.
So the burg where I live just decided to tear up half of the roads all at once. Not that they didn't need repairs but holy shit, urban planning much?
Thinking is really hard now.
Its partly that for sure. I also live in a semi touristy area that is loathe to cause traffic problems during the summer time, so I even understand why its happening, but all at once is holy fuck.
It's the end of the semester, so students are flocking to make up all the shit they didn't do all semester. Common excuses are "I forgot," "I was doing other things," and "Oops!" My answer to all of them is that they have this week to drop or they fail. They cry, they flail, they piss and moan - future professionals, mind you. My attitude?

Seriously, fuck this generation if this is the caliber of professional it's going to produce. WTF is wrong with them?
There have always been those kids. How hard do you think the kids in animal house worked? The jocks in revenge of the nerds?
What % did their work?
Going by my irl teacher friend, 25% of college students can barely breath let alone function in college.
Those movies weren't documentaries, you know.
they kinda were!
Ya, actually, they kinda were. So was Back to School.
And PCU
