Besides, if they take 'em off the disc, they're just going to sell you the damn things one at a time later.

I'm still optimistic at this point. Mario Kart DS remains my favorite entry as far as gameplay/design goes.

The new emphasis on speed boosting should make a nice replacement for snaking.

Heh, speaking of which-- damn near half the office has DS's now, we're doing some ad-hoc Mario Kart tomorrow at lunch. Hopefully at least a couple other folks actually own the game...

I am reasonably giddy for this game and we already have a "mario kart friday" planned when it comes out.

I would love to get this game, but I hate how the Wii has it's online setup, mainly because I don't get it...

im down for some racing when this ships as well.

The only thing the DS version has over Mario Kart 64 or Super Mario Kart is online play. I hope this game ends up being fun, but I'm in no way getting giddy over it.

MK DS looks a hell of a lot better than MK64. That fucking thing was a blurry mess ten years ago, and it is today. :D

DS's characters are made of fat-ass polygons, but they're stylized well. I really wish there were a lot more multiplayer options, though.
