Just because snaking is possible doesn't mean it's going to be as easy to pull off as it was in DS.
Can someone explain why snaking is stupid?
Please?
Without it, racing in the game is boring as fuck. It's the one mechanic that makes the games remotely interesting. Without it, the courses in the game are trivially easy to navigate.
And for what it's worth, snaking has been in every Mario Kart game (even the SNES and GBA ones, even though it's much more subtle there).
It's no fun to use it to beat the CPU, and they get their asses kicked because they can't do it as well as 12 year olds online.
And, as we all know, if you can't do something, it's stupid.
People used to whine that the special moves in SF2 were stupid because you should just be able to hit a button to throw a fireball or a dragon punch (especially after getting their ass handed to them in the arcade by a more skilled player). This is the same thing. Learn the skills needed to compete or don't play the game.
What he said.
What exactly is fun about having to button mash nonstop in a racing game?
The concerns should be about finding the best line, taking the curves the best, not who can button mash the most.
If I want to play that game, Track and Field is on XBL.
Project Gotham's right down the street, buddy. ;)
