It's a fake (duh), but looks slick. I'd like to see them try something like that for real (with actual shoulder triggers).
I'd freak out if they made something like that for real with a touchscreen (for drawing purposes).
It does look slick. But it looks horribly uncomfortable. I really hope either Sony or Nintendo (or both) learns how to make a more ergonomic handheld system. I can't stand holding neither the DS or PSP for extended periods of time.
I'd buy that in a heartbeat, almost regardless of cost. We should be within a year or so of seeing something like this announced for real.
I like portables that have clamshell designs.
Which is odd, cause it's not like I really ever take them anywhere, but I enjoy the extra bit of comfort I get knowing that the screen is protected when it's all closed up on my night stand.
Nvidia most likely began working on the PSP2 GPU in 2005, before the PS3 came out.
It was revealed in early 2006 (still before PS3 launch) that Nvidia had won 1 or more additional GPU/graphics contracts with Sony, beyond the PS3's RSX GPU, for future products not yet announced.

At the time it was thought that work would be complete on the new GPU for Sony in late 2008. There's no way that this would be for the PS4 console....
In early 2007 it was discovered that Nvidia was hiring eDRAM engineers for portable projects, which may or may not be related to PSP2 (likely though).

All of this implies a PSP2 with Nvidia graphics in 2009 or 2010. The original PSP was launched in late 2004 in Japan, so 2009 PSP2 launch in Japan seems right. Worldwide launch by 2010, if not 2009.
I am going to go out on a limb (even though i have nothing to back it up with) that PSP2 will also include an integrated
(as part of a SoC) very small, low-power Mini or Micro Cell processor, as seen in this circa 2006 Cell Processor Roadmap:
http://techon.nikkeibp.co.jp/article...ll_roadmap.jpg
Obviously the top right track indicates the direction of the CPU for PS4 (look at the CELL with 64 SPE on one chip) while the lower right track indicates the *possible* direction of a CPU for PSP2 (Micro CELL seems most likely).
While some idiots might exclaim "there's a PSP2 coming already????" there's really nothing new or unexpected about PSP2 coming out in a few years (perhaps less than 2). It has already been in development for around 3 years, long before the PS3 came out.
Meaning?
This doesn't indicate anything about PSP2, considering those hirings could have been related to this GPU that was just announced today.
I hope they don't call it the PSP2 fuck the goddamn sequels and come up with something original!
They'll call it "Shhh. Gameplayer."
The volume will be set to 1 at all times.
