ds lite discontinued. tinycart.
i still kinda want a dsi but i feel as if there won't be anything new/worth playing on it in a short while. will it have access to the 3ds gameboy/gba download stuff?
I'm actually more surprised that lites were still being made.
WASHED OUT? I WAS RIGHT!
Here's my take on playing DS games on 3DS:
The 3DS is fine for playing DS games in short doses. Action games, pick up and play type stuff. Anything longer than that, something like Radiant Historia or any other RPG, you're better off with a DSi XL. The XL's screens are excellent and DS games look fantastic on it. So it's worth keeping around for stuff like Chrono Trigger and Ghost Trick.
Is that Thor game designed for gamers (like Contra 4) or little kids (like Batman: the Brave and the Bold)?
Saw a video of a giant fire demon kicking Thor's ass. Given it's a movie license it's not likely to be too taxing.
*EDIT*Here's the game in action. Combat is compared to the adventure portions of Smash Bros and Thor has a super jump to move between screens ala the grappling hook from Contra 4.

Inchworm Animation Dsiware:
The tools may not be perfect (and you'll want a DSi XL) but you can cobble something together fairly easy. Just did a stop-motion of a Mario mushroom scooting through my living room |-) .
