ElCapitan's in the Hospital

[ElCapitan] was found early Friday morning (2/15/08) by police severely beaten and left for dead near 8th and 9th Avenue by the railroad tracks in downtown Nashville. He has several skull fractures and a laceration on his stomach. He was rushed to hospital and has been there ever since.
From what I've heard, he was out at a pub on Valentines Day with some friends. The friends left the pub early, but he stayed behind for a little while longer, and eventually asked some people he met at the pub to take him back home, but instead of taking him back home, they knocked him out, mugged him, and left him for dead.
He was in pretty bad shape when the police found him, but he's been doing a lot better the last day or two. The doctors said that every bone in his skull was fractured, but his brain for the most part was unharmed.

I just talked to his mom and she said Cap's in good enough shape now that they might be able to release him from the hospital tonight or tomorrow and just have him do the rehabilitation as an outgoing patient instead of staying in the hospital any longer. I talked to Cap, too, and he said that he's going to have to wear the neck brace for a while, but it's mostly just a precautionary measure. Once he gets his body used to being active again, he should be able to go back to school sometime next week if he can get someone to drive him around.
Unfortunately, nobody's heard anything about the police investigation, since it's being treated as a closed case.
