Seven years to figure out a way to fly two passenger aircraft into the WTC's probably because they were the biggest buildings in NYC, not because of what relation they had to the economy. What the attack accomplished was;

A) Made the world hate us
B) Killed our economy to the level in which it's still being felt now
C) Crushed major banking corporations
D) Tied up our military in two useless struggles
E) Raised the cost of our gas to 3.15 a gallon

Anyways, I don't think you fully understand what I'm saying. If I wanted to damage a country like the US, something like the WTC would be a good target, but I wouldn't spend seven years planning on how to blow up and wait years and years and possibly never for another major follow-up.

I'm not the one who committed suicide to cause something to happen I was never going to see. In the months following the attacks, there should have been more major ones, hitting similar targets, there wasn't. The United States is now killing soldiers of Allah daily in the Middle East and Southern Asia.

How complex were the 9/11 attacks? All that it really required was learning to fly a plane and a box-cutter...no easy task, but no reason to spend seven years leaving trails for the FBI (supposedly anyway).

The US are killing Indonesians? News to me.
