I never had a teddy, but I did have a Pound Puppy that I named "Buster." After getting my right pinky finger caught in a classroom door and losing the top quarter of it, my mom bought it for me. I kept it for twenty years and would NEVER get rid of it, even if it just sat on my bed when it was made. Now, my oldest daughter has it in her room with her favorites. Buster lives on!
Great thread!
Here's my guy, Hoopy. I got him when I was a few days old, and he's still in pretty good condition, for a 26 year old dog. I couldn't say Huckleberry when i was starting to talk, so it was Hoopy, and it stuck.
I'm actually thinking about cleaning and restuffing him in time for my little one's arrival. Nigga is pretty grimey tho.
I don't recall having a teddy bear, I do remember having a my pet monster, though, but I don't remember what happened to it. I recall having it around the age of 10 yet, but sometime after that it disappeared. My dad probably threw it out, it was in pretty sad shape.
What a great thread idea.
Meet Teddy, the red bear. I've had him since I was a baby. He started out as a red teddy with orange eyes and a white tummy. Then my mom made him a pair of blue overalls. Then, recently, my girlfriend gave him that camouflage top which we put over the overalls.
As for the other two bears, my gf thought Teddy should have a teddy of his own, so she got him Patches. Then she thought Patches should have his own teddy, so along came Weebert.
Aww.
It's a vicious cycle.
