I've never heard of a case where someone had kids when they had a good stable job, and then lost the job later on. That has never happened.
I know people working in kitchens making 10 an hour with 2 kids that do fine.

As a parent, it's hard to just adapt. My kids all have laptops, cell phones, hdtvs-multiple game systems-cable in each bedroom. They're spoiled as fuck in my eyes. But peer pressure is a son of a bitch and other kids can be ruthless if you don't have all that they have.
If I had to, I could go completely off the grid tomorrow and live off the land. I'm grown and don't give a fuck what other people think. But it's different for kids. I'm sure you all can remember what a pain in the ass the clique system can be. I don't want my kids picked on or having to get in trouble for beating the shit out of some mouthy bitch. So they get all the crap that all the other kids get and don't appreciate; because I love them and want to give them all I can even if it's probably to their detriment in the long run.
But it also depends where you live. 1600 a month is awesome for a place like Ashville, NC. Not so much at Williamstown, NJ.Quote:

Think of what we are doing now. Most of us grew up in different states with different backgrounds. But this forum was started around shared experiences that center around commercial goods.
Any of us could go to any place in the US and start a conversation with most people about commercial products we like. Even hard asses like Josh and Ic have things they like that they could talk to someone else about.
I actually think the US should be divided into something like 5 countries.
It's too large and diverse for a one size government.
