"Those who can't do teach," and those who can't do anything become lawyers (<3 Nash and sleeve) and politicians, so this should surprise no one.

I'd argue that it is worse than theft. It causes a cast system with the richest at the top.
And it fails because the rich don't buy into everything that everyone is doing. They don't want to purchase items in this and that industry. They don't want to start businesses in this and that industry. They don't every spend any money over 'there' for the money to trickle down. Which is also compounded by so many people not actually doing anything or owning companies that do anything. How is wealth suppose to trickle down when it is tied up in a monolithic stock and investment portfolio? Or tied up in some of that garbage that caused the housing crash?
I don't know how it happened, but people need to stop associating the ultra rich with guys like Ford. Those types of rich people are becoming a minority. There are way to many people protecting the ultra rich because they are hoping for a new Ford. Hoping he'll take his big bag of money, start a factory, and give everyone in town a wonderful job.
Rich people don't really do that anymore. Even if they wanted to start a new company, they wouldn't produce it here, probably. They just pay a Chinese company to make it, an advertising firm to promote it, lease out warehouses for distribution, etc. There would be very few new jobs.
And they probably wouldn't do it with their own money. At least not much of it. They'd start an LLC, put in 20-30% of the money needed, take out a massive bank loan and start it with that. If the company works out, great. If not, sell everything you can in one year and raise your salary to something crazy that will get you back 40% then declare bankruptcy. You could probably also start a corp, find some way to pay yourself insane dividends, THEN declare bankruptcy.
lol I was so busy making sure I put it in quotes that I forgot to type. Oh well.
IP just took five paragraphs to say what a normal person can say in four words: 'noblesse oblige is dead'
Sega Bass Fishing Wii had a pretty cool cast system
Im kind of dumb, so bear with me.
When i buy $100000 worth of stock in an IPO, where does that money go?
I always thought it went back to the company, to be used for whatever improvements. But instead it is just gathered into a money vault to just rest and accumulate?
Thats what i gathered from IP's insight into the rich man's world.
It goes to money heaven
I wouldn't invest $100,000 in Game Craze. Especially if your woman is still driving.
