As I type this, Rhydant has boarded his plane leaving nyc to head back to San Diego. I am ready to rest up for a day or two, as I'm totally dragging ass today at work from all the walking, heat, and inebriation of the last 3 days.

Yesterday, after we saw the B-Lo guys off, Rhydant and I went to the Met to rendezvous with Thief in the middle of the Puerto Rican day parade. It was a fucking mad house, and I correctly guessed that the first thing that Thief would say was, "There are more Puerto Ricans at this parade than there are in the entire state of Ohio."

After that, we headed down to Ground Zero for a few, then made it back to Brooklyn so that my gf, Rhydant and I could meet and have dinner with KOF, his wife and little Melody (whom I can confirm may be the cutest baby of all time). Dawn could not stop talking about how cute she was all night. I have a feeling that KOF's wife and Dawn may become good friends.

Overall, I had such an amazing time this weekend. Despite the heat, everyone came together and made what was easily the best NYC get together that has ever been. I don't know if we could ever top this, but I'm all for trying.

It was great seeing K3V and Sinista again, and meeting Netwurked and SSJN for the first time. Next time I'm back in Buffalo, we have to get together for a night out. Also, Netwurked, thanks for the case of Labatt Blue, that we didnt even get a chance to crack open the whole damn time, but we will be enjoying it for some time to come. I should have sent the Brooklyn Lager with, but I didn't think of it til you guys had already left.

Also: Kev, you forgot your Gears of War shirt. I need to get it to you, after I roll around in it naked and use it as a diaper (in that order, obviously).

Rhydant, it was great to finally meet you, and again, I appologize that Dawn was out of control drunk the first time you met us. Happy hour will do that to you on a random thursday night when people from out of town are visiting. I hope that your flight was smooth.

But all of you, you are more than welcome to come stay again anytime. This goes for all of you that I met this year, if your in the city and you need a place to crash, never hesitate to ask and I will do my best to accommodate.

Everyone else, it was awesome seeing you again, or meeting you for the first time. I'm happy that everyone had a pretty decent time, and I think its truly a testament to the community here that we can get together like this, and just have a flat out blast hanging out.

I wanted to send a special thanks to Burg because things would have not gone nearly as smoothly if it weren't for you, and I owe you so much for having my back in all of this.

No big if I don't get it back, it was a freebie when I bought the game. Just bring it when you come back to Jamestown/B-LO next.

EDIT: Or, we are coming back to NYC in July for a Yankees game on the 22nd. We'll have to get together.

mezz is a scholar and a gentleman. my hat is tipped and my house is always open for whenever mezz and dawn feel like traveling south sir. amazing guy. i have no idea what kind of cluster fuck this weekend would have been without him... burg too...
