lincecum's babip is pretty ridiculous. he is running bad with regards to hits. his whip will come down.
although to be honest, if he continues to maintain a sub 2 era i wouldn't care if his whip was 3.

A truly tremendous pitching performance today by Oliver Perez.
Yeah. Good thing we have big bats like Delgado to overcome any deficit.
it's just one game
turn the page
That's what I've been saying for the last 140+ games. The book is getting a bit too large.
Fuck that one game shit. Oliver Perez is beyond annoying to watch and he needs to fucking nut up already if he wants his payday in the offseason. He's been very underwhelming this season as has Maine. Nelson Figueroa has been better than Ollie. At least he throws strikes. I don't blame Wagner and Willie for crapping on Perez after the game since Ollie has the stuff to be great.
Its only been a month but this team is way too much like the 2007 Mets.
The Mets rescued Perez off the scrap heap. Be glad you got anything out of him last year imo.
Smoltz has to go back to the pen, likely for the rest of the year due to his arm problems.
I have to agree with a couple of things said by Mike & The Mad Dog today re: The Mets
Ryan Church has been their best player, Wagner their best pitcher.
And, going into the season, the three variables that had the most significant impact on the Mets were/are:
Pedro Martinez (bust, so far)
Alou (bust, so far)
Delgado (bust, so far)
And they said going in if you had 1 out of 3 you were okay, 2 out of 3 and you're doing well, 3 out of 3 and it's playoff time.
So far: 0 for 3.
Going into this season I assumed all three of those guys were going to be worthless and I still picked the Mets to win the NL East. I thought Maine and Perez were going to really establish themselves this year and I expected another great season from Reyes.
