Dark Sector
Tried looking through the first 2 or 3 pages to see if there was a thread on this game and did not see one, so I guess I'll make one.
Got this game today (was really hoping to get a TnL opinion on it), really enjoying the look and feel of the gameplay.
The combat and cover system has a bit of the Gears feel to it (although I've found it to be better than said game imo), and the story really hasn't meant anything up to this point (only played through the first 3 levels so far), but the game has proven to be a lot of fun.
The blade that you get has proven to be fun as hell to toss around, haven't tried the MP yet but it seems like it would be run of the mill type stuff. Reading through the achievements would lead me to believe there are a lot of cool things yet to be unlocked in this game, and it may be one that I actually finish this year considering it didn't lose my interest after 2 hours.
Hopefully the MP is fun, I'll find out in a day or two when I actually get around to exploring what this game has to give outside of single player. Only fault I can give off the bat is that there is no choice in difficulty. Everyone starts out on the same level and you unlock the harder difficulties once you beat the game, apparently. Besides that, I can't really find fault in the controls, gameplay, upgrades, story, graphics, or progression.
Pretty solid game so far. While not a landmark, still a damn good time.

I will pick this up, once price goes down a bit. What I've seen so far looks decent enough.

This looks like the very definition of an average game. I'll rent it at some point when I get really bored.

I may be the minority but it's a lot more fun than Gears for me.

So far it seems kind of cool, but the AI is atrocious and I have no idea what the hell is going on.

I'd like to know if the online is worth playing at all. It will be hard to top gears IMO. I'm playing Gears and UT right now, so dethroning Epic will be a hard feat to accomplish.

Word on the street is that MP is more of an afterthought. The street could be telling me lies, but I doubt it.
