I'm pretty sure the only team in the postseason the Rangers could have beaten was the Devils, and even then it was only lopsided because Brodeur played like dogshit.
I'll spot you Ottawa because they were abysmal.
And hey, at least we didn't get swept.
It also pains me to say the Brodeur got outplayed by every goalie in the postseason. If he played as well as Fleury it probably would have gone seven.
Lundqvist has played like shit the entire postseason. Save for maybe Game 2, round 1.
The Rangers haven't been good in a long time. The streak continues.
Wait until next year...this squad won't hold up for more than a season or two, and the Devils are on the way back. This was a low point in a rebuilding period.
It's fun how the Devils' low point is so close to the Rangers' high point.
The Devils are only getting worse, Cow, not better. Lundqvist has played well the entire post-season (except tonight). Unlike Fatso. And the Devils haven't done any better than the Rangers for the last 5 years. Welcome to the club.
Another post for Straka. Can't wait to see him get out of town.
Nah, I'm pretty sure the Devils have fully rebooted and are going to be better next year. I was worried they were going to miss the playoffs at the beginning of this year, as we finished losing all the good players we could possibly lose. Oh and we still finished in the Reg Season ahead of you, despite that.
Martin Brodeur is on the Goalie Equipment Committee btw in this offseason. I can't wait to see what changes they make to the gear.
And Lundqvist has in no way played well this entire postseason. No way.
Don't throw the regular season points (what was it this year, 2?) around when you get bounced in the first round. We both know what matters, and it's not who got less points via the Shoot Out.
Before tonight, Lundqvist was .910 SV%, 2.55 GAA.
