Jagr on Thursday's game "This might be my last game. Let's make it special".
I'm going to cry. He's been a horse for nearly two months and is the last of the really "special" players of the '90's.

I can't believe the Penguins fans boo him.
I didn't boo Niedermayer when we played the ducks.
Sheesh, San Jose fans must be sick right now. Lose in Overtime. Such a great year, such a great group of players, and they are getting dunked by Dallas. They split the season series, but Dallas just has their number. To make it worse, San Jose has scored first in each of this series games.
Dallas had an awful March (4-7) with a 3 game win streak at the end of march that they carried over into April, with the last game of the season being a Win against San Jose.
Reminds me of the Wild in 02/03 when we came back down 3-1 against both Colorado and Vancouver, only the get swept by the Mighty Ducks with J.S. Guigerre (giant pad edition) in the West Conf. finals.
Detroit is a fucking monster.
I have to retract my statement that all the pretenders have been eliminated going into round 2. That was wrong. It's just that the league has so much parity now there were a ton of pretenders.
Round 2 is really disappointing me. Compared to round 1 it's just a joke. Only Phi-Mon and Sjs-Dal are even competitive at the moment and despite the competitiveness Dallas is looking at a 3-0 stranglehold. I'd like to believe San Jose is talented enough to come back from 3-0 down, a tremendous rarity! but no way. Maybe they can stretch it to six or seven. That would be nice, just to watch.
San Jose and Montreal have been the two most overrated teams going into the playoffs. I understood Montreal being rated highly, and definitely favored them heading in, but after watching them play in that Boston series you had to knock them back a few pegs. They still may come on to win it, they are better than Philly on paper. It's funny how Hatcher almost blew it for the team. I hate that douchebag.
I do not understand, at all, all of the San Jose love all year. Everyone on this board except me has been all over San Jose's dick. And I'm ROOTING for them! Even at the cost of my prediction! I don't want another win by one of the big west teams, and a loss by San Jose leaves me standing with Pitt. Gross.
It will be incredibly hard to stop Detroit. I don't think Pitt is up to it. Honestly, of the East teams, I think Philly has the best chance of stopping them. Out of the west, I think Dallas will be overmatched, badly.
I'm pretty sure Yoshi hasn't been posting in here because he isn't even watching anymore. He's playing 71 hours of WoW a week, how can he be watching?
He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will keep watching after his team is out anyway. Especially when the rival is still in it. Maybe he'll be back for round 3.
I find it funny that Cow creeps forward with his Rangers attacks now that we are down. If this series was 3-0 or 2-1 in our favor, you wouldn't be saying shit until we started to lose.
Consider that the Devils went down hard. If you think NJ 'has fully rebooted', you're delusional. They still will be Brodeur with some other guys next season and perform in the playoffs exactly as they did.
Why is that funny? Your team completely came apart. Start practicing your golf swing.
Your team's been bad all year. The only reason they were in the playoffs was because the Devils couldn't beat them. It's the must infuriating scenario for me ever.
I can't wait until next year. Jagr probably gone, Shanahan a year older, Straka with not much left. Have fun.
Next year looks bright for the Devils. Oduya improved drastically and if one or two other defenders step up we can put White back on the third pairing where he belongs. The Rangers clearly got to Marty. Specifically Avery. Obviously he still has plenty left, but he does need help in front. The defense is starting to solidify after being a huge question mark last year, which led to a horrifically poor start.
What we need is one more solid defenseman and another defenseman already on the team to step it up. (Bryce?) Then we need help up front. Zajac had a horrible year, and ought to improve. Clarkson ought to improve as well, but I don't have much hope. Brylin is on the way out, but he didn't impact much this year anyway. Madden is coming into his own. Pando worries me, but we'll see. The question marks are Zubrus and Zajac really, and I have faith that with one capable offenseman added to the lineup pieces will start falling into place.
For the Rangers, pieces are going to start falling off.
So next year I'm already picking the Devils to get to at least the conference Semis, but the problem is that this year is the dawn of the Pittsburgh era. All those draft picks have blossomed and matured and here they are, and they're not going anywhere for a long, long time.
The most interesting question for next year will be Ottawa. LOL.
This is about right. I don't like any of these players. Especially Tucker.
Boy, a lot of them played for the Rangers.
This really makes me feel even better about the 2003 cup. That was quite the storybook year, and to top it off I got to see them hoist the cup in person. That win over Ottawa was just amazing.
All smiles here :)
