Second best record is the league not enough? Joe Thornton getting the 5th spot for Points AND leading the League in assists, getting Campbell in the trade deadline, Nabakov having the best Wins record in the league and being 3rd for GAA. Oh, and they also have Cheechoo, Marleau, Michalek, and Roenick.

The only way for a team like San Jose to prove their worth is to win the cup. Any number of teams have shown through the years that they are awesome in the regular season and then choke like this years Devils in the post season.
