I don't believe it.
Up to 52k now.
i signed. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MALE ENHANCEMENT EMAILS TO FLOOD MY BOX!
After I signed I went back to view it and in that three seconds twenty other people signed.
There's hope yet.
54525, there is still a long way to go.
Wow, 50 more since I posted and checked. All of 5 seconds passed.
Not worth the effort since it is clearly BS. Aren't his movies financed by companies who need a tax writeoff?
I signed, because for the love of god something must stop that monster.
My dream is to write/direct films. It pisses me off because Hollywood and other large movie enclaves consistently give jobs to guys like this (and then give them more and more jobs) and there's a good chance my name will never even be mentioned in the lowest of film circles.
Over 1,000 signatures in the last ten minutes.
This thing has a chance.
Where's the petition for him to continue making films?
You have to put a gun and your mouth and shoot.
I signed under a fake name and e-mail
Pointless, but amusing.
I signed.
If unique sigs were required, we were up to 999,999 and I was the only one left that could sign it, I wouldn't sign it.
signed
No he produces unwatchable shit, they aren't even fun to watch in an ironic sense.Quote:
Uwe's stuff is pure B-movie (C-movie/D-movie) gold.
wow. It has doubled since I signed yesterday.
I'm not signing this thing. I want Uwe to make movies forever, if only to piss the internet off.
YOU'RE SO EDGY!!!
Yeah? Well.....Doomsday AND The Mist sucked!
Take that!
:p
Funny thing about Boll is that his film talents are actually improving, more he makes. In the name of the King was almost watchable :p
I signed, and them some. Somebody needs to stop this idiot from ruining more video game franchises.
You people are crazy if you think he'll stop making movies. Unless they've changed recently, the German tax laws pertaining to filmmaking that he takes advantage of practically give this guy the ability to print his own money.
I have no doubt that even if it makes it to a million, he'll go on making movies. I just find it funny that one person could garner so much hate over something as stupid as a bunch of video game movies. I think Hitler had a higher approval rating than this guy.
signed.
There were 15 more sigs the second after I refreshed.
Shouldn't these people be fighting against kiddie porn or Asian snuff films or some real evil instead of this wacky B-movie kraut?
That German tax write off was stopped awhile ago I think.
here.
http://www.petitiononline.com/ub221965/petition.html
shut up and sign this one then.
I don't give a fuck either way.
LOL. wtf?
That video just made me his biggest fan.
LOL!!! "I am the only genius in the fucking business"
Oh lawd!
Well, I gotta admit that made me like him a bit. Rofl.
It's really funny that he thinks he can bad mouth Bay.
Lets see, which movie would I rather watch: Transformers or In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale?
lol Uwe got Bolls
Transformers was kinda weak, IMO
and that One minute video is easily his best work ever! lol
I love Uwe Boll's attitude. I also think that Bloodrayne 2 is his best work. Only good thing about In The Name of the King was the cast, can't really say anything good about the rest of the movie.
lol, you gotta admire that drive.
i didn't even know there was a Bloodrayne sequel. i checked the lead actress' IMDB page and she's in an upcoming Alone in the Dark sequel as well.
hell, i'll admit that i loved The House of the Dead. the blonde chick throwing up on the boat at the start and actually laughing through her lines afterwards was priceless.
I love how that video is suddenly getting all you guys on his side.
Anyway, yeah, he's not a great director. But he actually shows incremental improvements with each movie he makes, which personally makes me sad since House of the Dead was so gut-bustingly funny in its badness. As Boll is improving, his movies are becoming ever so slightly less horrible with each installment and thus, less funny to watch. It's a shame.
Still, I can’t hate the guy, because he honestly seems to love his craft and shows tons of excitement for his projects. I mean, who wouldn’t love to be a movie director? He seems to be living his dream, and I can't fault anyone for that.
I still hate the guy and that video only made me want to punch him in the face. He talks about Hollywood being smug. Him talking about his movies like a work of art and anyone who hates him doesn't get him. Says pot meet kettle.
Fuck him and fuck his movies. BTW he's still trying to find a distributor for his Postal movie. POSmf'er.
Oh, man.
Oh wow! i have to see this one!
It'll make a great bootleg. Anyway, Michael Bay wrote on his message board:
"
I find people who rant like that - calling shit about both me, and George Clooney - comes from someone screaming because he is not being heard. He is obviously a sad being.
When you ask "do I care"? Not in the slightest."
And Eli Roth is quoted as saying Boll's remarks about him were "the greatest compliment ever."
Transformers owned in every way it needed to own. First and foremost, the robot designs and CGI were fucking awesome. That carries the movie right there.
Second, they pulled the best fan-wank in the history of fan-wanks out of their asses when they green-lit Peter Cullen as Prime's voice. And then Cullen delivered big-time.
With point 1 and 2 secured, who really gives a damn about anything else in the movie? Poorly-choreographed battles included. But then there's Sam's great performance, the female lead's hotness, spurts of awesomeness in the action (Bonecrusher on the freeway, Blackout at the army base), and Agent Smith's rendition of Megatron's voice.
It makes the abundant nonsense, shaky cam, and product placement (who cares about product placement anyway?) a total non-issue. Bay did exactly what he was supposed to do with the movie and I approve.
Not to say I wouldn't love the shit out of an Uwe Boll Transformer movie though! :D
I don't know if you've watched it recently but watch it again without the goggles. It's fucking painful to sit through. Too much boring ass human shit you couldn't care less about (seriously, who gives a rats fuck about the whole government and hacker bullshit?) and not enough big robots blowing up shit.
It's fucking terrible.
You're doing it wrong.
When you see it in the theater, the goggles are on. No problem there.
When you see it at home, it is on DVD and you are skipping around with the remote like some kid with ADD going to the awesome stuff, frame-by-framing the transformations, cranking up the sound when stuff goes "boom!", going to the awesome stuff, frame-by-framing the transformations...
It's your own fault if you watch it straight through at home.
That Postal movie kind of reminds me of something like Kentucky Fried Movie or whatever. And Dave Foley looks like he gets completely nude in it, which is a plus.
Uwe was on Attack of the Show yesterday for an interview. This whole thing is giving him more press for Postal than every movie he's done combined.
Postal looks fucking dreadful. I'll have to see it for sure.
Day One for Postal BTW.
And Uwe rules in that video interview.
I have the DVD for Transformers. I watched it 10 times. I think I'll watch it again.
Transformers is a terrible movie, you are all blinded by "OMG ITS TRANSFORMERS", Even though they aren't really. Robot designs are almost as messy as the direction, the human element is completely unnecessary, cliche and 2 dimensional. Any of the action scenes that could have been good are destroyed by ambiguous robot design and retarded amounts of shaky cam, also known as "I can't direct action for shit" cam. They even had the cliche black guy dying, which is pretty hard in a movie about robots and nokia, but they fucking did it none the less (of course there's a robot on screen just enough to break dance and speak blackanese, and of course he's the only good robot to die).
The movie has 1 good scene which lasts for about 12 seconds, Starscream fucking up the other jets.
They simply should not have made that fucking mess of a movie, if you like it i don't like you as much as i used to.
I enjoyed Transformers, even the second time around.
That video interview is all I have seen of Uwe Boll. I am now very interested in his movies.
As opposed to the TRansformers. That had turd written all over it and I'll probably never bother with it.
This just invalidated everything you said above it.
Also it did not own, it sucked. Sucked fucking Balls. As in wasn't a good movie in the slightest. As in I'd rather eliminate Micheal Bay from the movie landscape than Uwe Boll since Boll will never actually be relevant.
The robot re-design sucked. The editing sucked. The pacing sucked. The music choice sucked. The sound effects sucked. The voice acting (minus Peter Cullen) sucked. The acting sucked. The fights might have been good but since you can't make out a fucking thing thats happening I wouldn't be able to tell you, so they sucked. The product placement sucked. The casting sucked. The screenplay sucked. The final fight sucked. The ending sucked.
The best thing I can say about Transformer's is that it was a 2 1/2 hour trailer for a decent Transformer's movie. To bad it wasn't an actual movie.
Also he forgot a Decepticon. Literally forgot one.
God I fucking hate that guy.
Well the best part about this is people failing to realize that they are encouraging him by covering him at all. He's a terrible director, and probably an insane human being, but he is smart enough to know (and actually accept, which is impressive) that any press can be good press, and all you do by complaining about him is increase the curiosity around him.
He still won't ever be relevant (seriously, there is not a talented bone in that mans body when it comes to film making) so its really a non-issue, but its more of a benefit to Uwe to point out how much he sucks than it is to someone like Bay whose already tricked people into thinking his movies are good and will have people sucking his giant, herpes infected, cock no matter where he decides to drop his hack demon seed.
P.S. I can't believe how fast this rose to 184,000 signatures. It'll 200,000 by the end of the day on Saturday.
Wow, this thing has a shot.
Barricade just suddenly realized he left his police badge in his other chassis. He had to turn around and go home for it right before the end fight. :D
You guys wouldn't know great Transformer stuff if it bit you in the ass hard enough to tear your ass off, transformed into a new ass, and became your new prosthetic posterior.
Need we remind you again that you're the one who can't even tell the difference between SD and HD? Let alone a good movie and a bad one.
It's not like I chose to.
It played on the iMac across from my podium for like two months because it brought attention to the product. I saw it like three times every shift I worked.
To be fair, I wasn't paying attention to the story all those times, just enjoying how good it looked when I noticed it. Everyone has to agree that visually it was amazing.
Jump cuts ruined the "amazing visuals" to a level I had never previously experienced jump cuts actually ruining something. I'm no film major, but if you have two giant fucking robots fighting each other and smashing into buildings, you probably shouldn't film it from a "Saving Private Ryan opening scene" perspective with quick zoom on constant repeat.
You making both of these statements, in particular the 2nd one, about "Micheal Bay's" incredibly loose interpretation of Transformers (to the point where it should have been called "Giant robots that transform into various things"), completely buries your attack with in itself.
In other words, the movie wasn't even close to "Great Transformer Stuff" and if your a fan, you should be ashamed to even say that.
Beast Wars is the Greatest thing to ever happen to the Transformers Universe
and yeah I still don't get why everyone had such a boner for that movie, it was ok at best, but nothing stellar. The 1986 movie is way better, even if they did kill off Prime.
I only just saw Uwe's rant.
I want this conflict to go on forever now. His reactions are priceless.
Scut Farkus stars in Postal?
He has YELLOW EYES.
Him beating up Lowtax from SA was the best thing I've ever seen Uwe Boll do.
Current counts on the polls:
For Boll: 3862
Against Boll: 193527
I'm a little suprised, I was almost expecting the pro Boll petition to be higher from people signing just to piss off everyone who's against him.
Somehow I've never seen any of his movies, so I can't really take a side on this.
anyone watch "in the name of the king" yet? i watched it over the weekend and I have no idea what was going on the whole time, that movie totally lacked story, lol!
In a sense he's right.
What was the last "hollywood" movie that had a decent story?
Neither was I. It's all about cast, sets, and effects these days.
/curmudgeon stuck in the past.
I don't believe language is important, but that is just me.
I say that in that I'd like to see a movie with no dialog
The sound was implied.
There is no dialogue at all for the first 10 or so minutes of There Will Be Blood. Really interesting too.
I don't think you get me here. I'm not saying in films.
I'm saying he means to open a book, and find the words dumped on a page in random order. I'm saying he calls his friends and when he asks them how their days went, they don't tell him.
Shit like that.
He literally meant stories, in any context, in any media, are boring and unimportant.
