I'm going to take advantage of this to throw out one that isn't for credit, then. And I don't know the correct answer. It's just a game that popped into my head that I can't recall the name of.
It's a first-person point-and-click adventure from the mid or early 90's, sort of in a Myst style interface, it had a sci-fi theme, 3D Rendered graphics (and some hand-drawn, too, I think), and it was for Macintosh.
I'm not sure if you saw my reply in the other thread where you asked but the description made me think of Astronomica. That did also come out for PC, though.
No I didn't see that before. I don't think that's it though (I don't know that it's Mac exclusive, btw). I don't remember any digitized video in it. I do remember there's a scene in a bar, and a scene in an alley where an alien jumps you.
