He's a winner for having Samba imo.

Back on Topic:
Technocop?
Nope. That was developed in Canada, actually :)
oh well.
At least it was out of the country. :)
Hmmm ....
Killzone?
Shellshock: Nam '67?
Blazing Angels?
It isn't an FPS.
Blazing Angels was developed in Romania, BTW.
Xyanide?
You got it.
This isn't really a vague description, it's actually very specific description of a game that almost no one knows.
Can we stop doing obscure games? This is not the test your knowledge of C64/T80 thread, it's the vague thread. The way to make this thread more fun would be to vaguely describe very well known games... so when the game is finally guessed everyone goes... OH YEAH... I get it. Not, "Oh, I never heard of that game". I think the ones that Grave did are some of the best examples.
There's no reason we can't have both well known and obscure games. I didn't know about Countdown to Shutdown before and now I'm going to check it out.
But as I said, for example there's actually nothing Vague at all about saying a Dutch Shooter... there's what? Maybe 2 or 3 of those at most if even? It's a very very specific description actually.
Oh, let the old guys have their fun. :p
I dunno. I think I was pretty vague, considering Killzone and Shellshock both fit until I clarified :P
I'll give this a shot...
Deckar & Bob to the rescue.
Xyanide is fairly well known though. I just didn't know it was dutch.
There are different ways to make these challenging. You can use misdirection, you can pair a couple of extremely vague criteria, you can pick some bit of trivia, or just a hard game... I like that we've been mixing it up.
correct.
I knew that was too easy.
Ok, a Playstation 1 game in which you must save your dog.
Heart of Darkness?
When you're small you can walk up walls, when you're red you can fly.
Dammit, I can almost picture the game Neo is naming in my mind... I know it but can't name it... it's driving me crazy.
Yes, indeed.
it's been fun reading this, Frog give up another good one.
You play as a flying, robotic insect, and it's not a shooter and it's not Mr Mosquito.
Bad Mojo?
but I was going to guess Mr Mosquito...
lol Vortex.
Nope. Don't think that was a robot was it?
Good point.
Hm, Pinobee?
ooo I think he may have it there
Buck Bumble?
bvork gimme one more before sleep
Music game designed by a game music composer.
Pop'n'Music?
Far older.
Shit I have no clue.
Guessing Extase, since it's old, might be considered a music game by some, and I initially heard about it from bVork, I think.
so basically it's a shot in the dark.
Nope. Older than that.
wtf music games were older than that? I can think of some dancing games and Melody Chase, but none of those fit the bill.
Final hint: it's for C64.
I'm going to bed. I'll post the answer in the morning if nobody gets it.
And ze answer is To Be On Top, by Chris Huelsbeck.
A little simpler:
In this game, a flightless bird is the only means of flying.
Happy Feet.
Grand Theft Auto 3
Soundwave got the one I was thinking of.
This game featured featured flying food, a jumping sumo wrestler and annoying birds.
Adventure Island?
Nope.
Hints:
-It's the Westernized version of a game that was based on a very popular anime/manga.
-One of Yuji Naka's earliest projects.
Alex Kidd in High-Tech World?
Nope, nevermind.
It's gotta be Black Belt.
Give the man a cigar.
A winner is me.
The man train is a boss in this game.
That must be a Cho Aniki game.
Ai Cho Aniki, but that's close enough.

It's a sort of musical RPG, but not quite like Rhapsody.
Eternal Sonata?
Loom?
Final Fantasy VIII?
PaRappa the Rapper?
Cool Cool Jam on NGPC?
A peripheral next to nobody had was optional.
Rez
Ephemeral Fantasia.
that game was so horrid. Fits the description though.
Fighting game where you do attacks with the joystick instead of the buttons.
Buriki One?
Yep. I figured that was an easy one.
Please, it won't truly be mainstream until SNK finally makes a HNG64 collection. Do it, jerks. :(
Let's see how this next one works:
If this game was ported to 360, I don't think many people would tempt fate by playing it.
Ring of Red.
That's an awesome one assuming that was the answer.
Compass got it again!
I like Grave's outside-the-box style. Unfortunately my next one here isn't anywhere near as elegant:
The latest home port of this arcade series is noteworthy in that it was the first to ever ask for simultaneous input from all gameplay buttons.
Beatmania?
Close enough. beatmaniaIIDX to be more specific. DistorteD was the first one with a chart that asked for all seven keys and the TT to be hit at the same time.
That's kinda scary. I wonder if there are any DDR songs that make you do that too.
edit: or pop'n music yeesh
"Buy! Sell! Trade! Make Money!"
Is... is eBay a game?
Hmmmmm... no, doesn't have "overpriced shipping" or "ultra rare" default description.
Gotcha. I guess I will l@@k again.
Grave gives clues like Gollum from The Hobbit.
