TNL MD Get-together (Pre NY)

Ok, Hub is leaving MD, and now hes banned, so thats a suck. Strangely, I was also talking to Korly today, and a brilliant idea came up, why not have another MD get together before its too late?

If we can get myself, Josh, Chux, Hub, Korly, Mykozo, and Type Ryan, we already have a fucking gang. We should definitely hit up Karaoke again. I wouldn't mind putting up anyone too drunk in my place again, as long as we have promises to spare the shit in my house. Anyone free in May? I know Chux has a weekend off, I don't recall which it is, but we should try and work this out.

Any Saturday is ok with me. If its just two people (especially razor since he is awesome), I can put you up for the night. If its more we will have to make it somewhere else. We can play music at my place again, that was alot of fun and I'm down. Karaoke would also rock, and I would def love this. Cvs2 is a must this time around, is it backwards compatable on the xbox 360? That would take away the input lag. I don't own rock band, sorry, I just own real stuff.

The drum set is upgraded, its not great, middle of the road, nice cymbals, I trust the drummers not to break the cymbals.

I also have a beta 58 now.

I don't have a PA, i run things through protools and use the monitor output to output to our main room speakers for vocals, and sometimes a guitar, other instrument.

Atlas, is you do bring the cello, we can probably mic it up and then output through a PA, i could get a sm 57 for the event. I fucking love the cello. I wouldn't worry too much about it, you can store it in my room and nobody goes in there.

Ok, what we would need is another guitar amp of sorts. This is all if we rock out of course. The amp we used last time sucked balls. And a PA would be nice.

Before this, I want to work with myke on a few police songs or something we can all enjoy. I love the CvC show, but it would be cool to also get like razor down for some songs and everyone jamming, (Queen I guess?) I wish I could also get hub down because I am pretty 1 for 1 with his music tastes, but that would be difficult. This time we will record, I make no promises on sound quality though.

Ok, what more can I think of. I will try and get my bassist and drummer of my "band" (We aren't that put together yet), maybe you drummers can give mine a few pointers, they are cool dudes, but you will need to keep the weed smoking to a designated room since the bassist is top secret level.

I love Myke but he spill out so much rock and roll when he gets drunk that it can shake down a house. Now that I think about it, drunken people can pass out around the house. Whatever. You should bring a blanket or pillow or something probably.

I honestly don't think he would make a move on any girls who decided to come over. If a jolly asian santa is a dealbreaker for you, fuck you and don't come. I am not going to ban some people from my house so others can come.

Biff, if you can read this, you are welcome in my house. If you are worried about someone fighting you, you have my word, anyone who strikes first, I will fight against, period. That goes for anyone. No fronting, I know how to hit people. I don't have to worry about this being my personal friends, because they do not start fights.

I don't want to make this seem like fights broke out last time, there were 0 fights, everyone got along great, it was a fucking blast all around 100%. The only thing that bothered me was having to sit in front of the wall for a few hours. I know nobody will do anything from the crowd that came last time, I just need some help keeping things under control.

Everyone who came last time knows that I am an extremely tolerant host. I only put all these rules out because I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. Also, I don't want to be a dick to my Roomates, who do care about this shit. I am not a douche to people I live with.

Onwards to drug use. I don't care, my roomates don't care, if it makes someone uncomfortable, don't do it around them. If you can't handle the drug, don't do it.

Why am I offering up my house again with all this shit? You guys were awesome, I think online social communities are really something revolutionary, and I have no shame in being a part of this. The humor level is through the roof when you put some of us in the same room together too. Really I think this is something people will look back on like I look back on the 70's to a degree. This is the golden age of what it is. Granted its a bit on the nerd side, but tnl is pretty good about getting more down to earth people. This is still relatively avant guard shit, which will only become more popular, then more shitty. Enjoy it while you can.

Hub can't make the 24th. This party is because hub is moving. Therefore the 24th is out. 31st is a maybe, but then it probably won't be at my house, ASSUMING I don't have to move out before, it will be empty. I can still put up a FEW people at my mom's place in crofton, probably few being 3. At my mom's place we have a small 20 year old television, so don't expect greatness on the gaming side if you wanted to say there. Also no drugs at my mom's place, so leave that shit in your car if you do end up passing out there.

We can still push earlier. We can move to the 17th. Sucks for Rich, and I do want him to be there, but thats if we must have it at my place.

There is a lot of lean towards 30th karaoke. We will still have possible Pong at the place, who knows what will still be here. Might lose the tv, I think I could get a decent level of music going if we take it back to my place. Who knows how many beds will be here and whatnot, but I think I can house some people. I'll bring sleeping bags from my place just in case. Of course thats far from the place hub wants to do karaoke. My mom's place is closer to where we could do karaoke.

If our tv is still here, one of you guys could bring rock band and we could do that as well after/instead of karaoke. Also, I mean, I have a mic, If you guys bring karaoke versions of the songs you want to sing, you could just input right in.

Karaoke pluses = social, fun, alcohol

Downsides = sleeping situation, farther from everyone, no rockband/cvs2 or whatever, a bit less freedom in case things start going wrong.

I can pick you up from the airport if you fly in. If you drive, you can just google it. If you come in from whatever airport thats not BWI, there is a metro to my place. It might take place at a karaoke bar somewhere, but you guys can home base it at my place.
