Abandoned Amusement Parks/Ghost Town Thread

Looking at pictures of (and a few times visiting) abandoned amusement parks and ghost towns is a huge hobby of mine. There's something creepy, but calm and amusing about the rotting, desolate state of destruction. Turns me on. With ghost towns, it's fun to imagine how life was back when the place was lively. Bonus if there's still a few inhabitants.

**Malibu**

Abandoned little amusement place in Houston called Malibu. Seeing the beat up, abandoned arcades is especially spooky to me. Please visit the website under the pictures. It's so lovely and scary and wondrous.

I could go on forever. Do visit some of the links above, especially the Japanese one I conveniently made blink. I could spend hours each day there.

That staircase/escalator in those Japan pictures is so creepy.

I'm going to be in PA for another week longer than I thought I was, I should finally make the trip down to Centralia and try to a) get some pics b) not bother the few locals c) not lose my car in a hole.

This stuff is so awesome.

Yeah, I love that picture. There's a lot better/more creepy stuff on that website too, but it was way too hard to pick out of the hundreds available.

I'd love to see the pictures you take if you decide to.

I've been through Centralia dozens of times. It's quite a trip. Not everyday you get to see smoke coming up through the ground.

Awesome thread, Aurora. Abandoned stuff like this is a huge fascination of mine. That theme park=awesome.
