What's Your TNL Legacy (and the Legacy of the Person Posting Above You)?

If you were to die tomorrow, how would TNL remember you? Also, what do you the think is the legacy of the person who posted just before you in this thread? (No duplicates.)

I think my greatest contribution has been (obviously) financing the site, but also trying to building a stronger community by setting realistic and suitably flexible rules, mediating disputes, accommodating reasonable requests, and generally putting the users first. The dark side of my legacy is that I didn't keep the main page going, but it did stay up longer than it would have without me. I have a lot of half-done TNL projects that I would like to see come into their own sometime before the dawn of the next millenium.

I think some longtime users, if pressed, would tell you that the depth of my posts has decreased noticeably in recent years. I used to post fewer one-liners and more political and social commentary, but not by much. Mainly, I've been all about keeping users here and happy.

Mine is the first post in this thread, so there's no one else for me to comment on.

Nick for being a smart businessman when it comes to TNL.

Mr. K will be remembered for being a hipster.

ALSO: Likes Evil Dead. Things even out.

I don't really know anything about Berringer. He has a Lebowski avatar and sig and that's a good start!

I'll be remembered for bringing Atlas to the site and for being borderline unlikeable.

You will always be that one kid who tried to be punk rock in life but failed miserably and is dealing with the cards life dealt him. I guess in a way that is as punk rock as it can get.

Most of my posting happens in Music Discussion, so that means like 8 of you will remember me. I suppose I'll be known as the knower of all things audio, for being in bands with Josh, and for destroying Destin's wall at the Mid-Atlantic meetup.

I'm confused, so I'll go with Atlas since she's the most recent poster.

Don't know her too well, but I'll say she'll most likely be remembered as the gal who dated icarusfall and is the fantasy of many an Asian TNL Member *cough AdvocateKorian cough*.

Me, I have no clue. Can't say I've really made any valuable contribution except for posting random threads and showing my genuine hatred for bad drivers.

Type Ryan's legacy is making random (and usually funny) threads and posts. I also like his angry-baby avatar. It kind of suits his style.

As for me, my legacy (or lack thereof) at TNL is probably being the only member who's posted here all six years and never having a birthday thread. And also probably changing my avatar most frequently.

I'd say that Ryan will be remembered mostly for being part of the 88mph posse and that cool avatar of the angry baby (You've had that shit for like, forever).

Korly for XBLA and getting my 360 stolen and Civil War and maybe Phoenix Smashers.

I'll remember you for being one of the top 3 Halo players I've ever played with and against.

I'll remember you once admitted you were too emo to break up with a girl without having another girl waiting.

Most importantly I'll remember logging into Halo 3 and taking like 5 minutes to figure out how to even talk to you while making a map. Then being joined by the the best aspects of TNL for a night of super fun random match modes, including a zombie game that had some of the best last man standing moments ever (and I hate fucking zombie games).

As for myself, I'd like to think the greatest contribution was the creation of the site that endeavored to be a popular destination on the net. Meeting folks like Nick, burgundy, and cka definitely made that dream possible. The darkest part of my legacy was of course leaving, instead of finding the means to keep the front end going strong with Nick; among a few other things that I deeply regret. I'd love to see some of Nick's projects come full circle and the front end return with a bang. TNL has a LOT of potential.

I'll remember IronPlant for his amazing spelling skills. I remember long ago thinking that no man with such amazing spelling skills could possibly be bright but being proven wrong time and time again in the Tavern with his unusually insightful conversation. I'll remember him not only for my own misconception, but for being a guy that consistently got underrated.

I also vaguely remember that he was actually insane like ten years ago, but I don't remember exactly why. Something about believing in elves or someshit.

MarkRyan will be remembered as that guy who worked for IGN, but only in the guide section and nothing really cool or anything. And also rocked out sometimes in bands on drums. And a man animegirl wants to seriously get funky with although she puts it much more gingerly than that and kind of says is jovially. But we all know she would rock him if she could.

I will be remembered as a member of the boards who brought a err of caution, intrigue, humility, a spice of aplomb and overall greatness to the boards. Some find my curt disregard for others feelings and amazing webcomic writing credentials intimidating. And they should. But all the greats in this world had their detractors. Is it a shock that my platinum legacy around here is no exception?

Drew will be remembered for being willfully uncool.

I'll be underrated.

My legacy is pretty much the Mzo's mom thing. Oh well.

All I can remember about myself was I'm the currently oldest active mod on TNL & I'd written a lot of older game reviews for many Capcom fighting games including my Special on Alpha 3 for the Dreamcast.

& yeah I was that "Neo Geo Guy".

BonusKun's legacy is that of one of the oldest and most awesome.

Plus I remember you from the #GameGo days.
