You're doing it wrong.

Expert is the only acceptable difficulty for drums. The feeling of actually playing the part is unmatched.

The Guitar Hero 3 bundle is down to $40 at my local Wal-Mart. GH4 incompatible with older guitars confirmed. I'm glad I stopped playing after GH2 and picked up a real guitar instead. Real guitar is more useful and, as it turns out, cheaper than keeping up with these music games.
