Shenmue I & II on Wii?

This rumour is making the blogsite rounds. Some Swedish magazine says it's coming. Personally I don't want to play it again because the games can't have aged well and it would probably destroy my fond memories, but I'll admit it - Shenmue III is probably the one game I would buy a system for. If that happened I'd grab a Wii the day of the announcement even though there are only like two things I'd ever want to play on it (Prime 3 and the new Fatal Frame).

Of course, this being Shenmue, it will never happen.

Sega does have a good opportunity to finish Shenmue III with the Wii. Never even occured to me. They said they already finished the art assets and such, but I imagine they're targetting last-gen specs, not current gen, so Wii makes sense.

I don't think they have aged much (I replayed them both in the past two years, except in reverse order). They're still the flawed but beautiful games I remembered. I'm not getting my hopes up for Shenmue III appearing, though.

Shenmue III, BG&E 2, ZOE 3, Ketsui port, Mother 3 US, Duke Nukem Forever, the Phantom, and the Matsushita M2 will all arrive next year.

I think it was from an actual interview with Suzuki in a print mag (Play?)

Nobody likes Shenmue.

I think Shenmue's great, much better than melatonin, valerian root, and I'd rather take it than Ambien. Recently, though, I've found that 500mg of tryptophan is even better than Shenmue, but I haven't tried the Wii version so who knows?
